Race 1---Citizen of the Year Mdn Plate ---800m

1st Our Boy Lollipop 2nd Jessica’s Wish 3rd Lightning Brown 4th Hillhaven Girl

At the start Jessica’s Wish ,Miscount and Night Time Gal were all slowly away .

Zempheth began awarkwardly and became unbalanced for some distance after the start .

Bings Gift was caught wide and commenced to hang out approaching the 600m mark.



Approaching the 500m Bing’s gift moved out and made contact with Saw Thru Them

A warning was issued to Lightning Brown over its bad barrier manners ,



Race 2---Walker Memorial class 1 Hcp ---1500m

1st Attemoi 2nd Georgia’s Hope 3rd Virginia’s Glory 4th She’s Our Dane



Natiki was slowly away and She’s Our Dane reared as the field was released and lost ground .

At the 1300m Speed Easy began to over race and hung out for some distance .

Approaching the 1200m Natiki had to be eased off the heels ofHabitual Dancer .

At the 150m mark Habitual Dancer had to be eased when Regenet rolled in .App L. Fyfe was reminded of his obligations in this incident and told to exercise more care in similar circumstances .

Jockey L Appo was reprimanded under AR 145 for weighing in,in excess of ½ kg over the allocated weight .



Race3—Kilcoy Shire Council Cup Class 3 –1060m

1st Empowered 2nd Tycoon Belle 3rd Silver Hope 4th Our Girl Annie



Tycoon Belle jumped in at the start and brushed Vulcan Nymph which was slowly away .After this incident Vulcan Nymph hung out and raced wide throughout .

Approaching the home turn Empowered rolled in causing Vebita to be eased off its heels

In this incident App R. McMahon was reprimanded under A R 137a for allowing his mount to shift in .

When approaching the winning post Tycoon Belle rolled in , whilst being ridden along, causing Our Girl Annie to be eased for a stride .

In this incident App K Treble was reprimanded under A R 137a for allowing her mount to shift in .



Race 4—QRSE Searles Australia Day Hcp—1200m

1st Capannelle 2nd Merv’s Wish 3rd Rumour Mill 4th Private Briefing



At 12-30pm Jockey C Maund notified Stewards he was ill and unable to fullfill his engagements for the day.Stewards notified jockey C. Maund he would require a Doctors Certificate to attest to his well being before he rides again .

Private Briefing was caught wide in the early and middle stages

Fywick Story was slow into stride and was obliged to race wide until the 750m mark

Rumour Mill hung out approaching the home turn taking Might and Gold and Private Briefing wider on the track .

The rider of Might and Gold ( L Roberts ) could give no explanation as to the poor performance of the horse only to say that when the pressure was applied at the home turn ,his mount could give no more .Stewards noted his explanation .



Race 5—QTIS Maiden Plate ( set weights )—1200m

1st Lord Voldemort 2nd Questegic 3rd Beat The Rush 4th Slick Star



Striking Looks was declared a late scratching at 3-25pm by order of the Stewards due the late arrival to the races of that horse.



At the start Lulu Kate was slow (6l) and tailed off during the race .

Treko began with the field ,however after travelling some 50m began to buck and lost ground .

Bad As I Wanna Be raced wide from the 800m to the home turn

For his bad racing behaviour , a ban was placed on Treko until he performs an official barrier trial to the satisfaction of the stewards .LR36b

A ban was placed on Lulu Kate for being uncompetitive ,and this horse will have to perform a satisfactory barrier trial to the satisfaction of the stewards .LR36b
