Apprentice F. Elliott was reprimanded for failing to present her Winning Rides Book.

RACE 1: STEVE DICKSON M.P. MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

CROWN THE BOSS – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Brushed near the 50m.

FLINDERS DEAGON – Improved onto heels near the 800m and had to be steadied.

RADD’S ROSE – Shifted out near the 50m and brushed another runner.

GAYLEN - Raced 3 wide throughout.

RACE 2: MAYOR GRAEME LEHMAN MAIDEN HANDICAP – 800M

TANZANITE – Bumped on jumping away and forced wider on the track leaving the 400m.

COLEY – Leaving the 400m commenced to hang out placing its rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Trainer G. Duncan was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the stewards’ satisfaction prior to its next race start.

VISION AND VALUES – Hung out leaving the 400m.

ULTIMATE RUSH – A post race veterinary examination revealed mild heat stress.

RACE 3: DEB FRECKLINGTON M.P. CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 800M

FELINE MISS – Slow to begin.

ANOTHER WHISKEY – Slow to begin and held up for clear running from the 400m and went to the line not fully tested.

MAGIC OF LOVE – Steadied from heels near the 400m.

JEPTOO – Raced wide throughout.


RACE 4: SOMERSET REGIONAL COUNCIL QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1060M

BELLA RED – Became cast in the barriers and declared a late scratching at 3.04 pm. All monies invested on Bella Red were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable prior to the withdrawal time.

25 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #1
20 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #9

Trainer M. Lakey was advised that a further barrier certificate must be produced prior to its next race start.

MISTIE RUBIE – Slow to begin.

FLAMBOYANT MISS – Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer K. Iverson was advised a veterinary clearance would be required for the filly prior to its next race start.

ECHELON ANNIE – Forced wider leaving the 400m.

SUPERIOR DRAGON – Hung out for the majority of the race. Trainer P. Jenkins was advised that the horse must trial to the stewards’ satisfaction prior to its next race start.

RACE 5: BUTLER MCDERMOTT LAWYERS BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP – 1500M

ROYAL ROCKET – Trainer G. Baker was fined $100 for failing to produce the Document of Description for the horse.

DOMINI – Slow into stride.

SAVEEDA – Overraced for a short distance leaving the 1000m.

EXECUTE AT DAWN – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and then had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.

RACE 6: STANLEY HOTEL KILCOY CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1200M

IRRESISTIBLE ME – Raced 3 wide for the majority of the race.

ASYOUDO – Inclined to lay in in the home straight.

OUR CLARKY – Rider A. Spinks reported his mount was inclined to hang out for the majority of the race.

NIEMANDS GIRL – A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow post race recovery.
