J Cerchi reported indisposed and replaced by O Galea on AWESOME TRIS. NEW YORK TIMES pulled hard in the early stages giving apprentice Jason Walton a difficult ride.

J Cerchi reported indisposed and replaced by T Austin on A PROMISE. An enquiry was held into alleged interference to RUBY HEIGHTS (R Barone) and A PROMISE (T Austin) at about the 800m. R Graveson, the rider of JOHN’S ROGUE pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding and was suspended from riding races up to and including 22/7/2000. (AR137(a)).
Race 4 Class 6 Handicap – 1100 Metres- 4 Starters
COUNT SARI (R Bellert) and SPECIAL SOVEREIGN (R Graveson) both restless in the barrier causing a delay.
Race 5 Open Handicap – 1800 Metres- 6 Starters
CRANBERRY PARK (O Galea) reared as the gates opened. CRANBERRY PARK then commenced to pull hard and struck the heels of NUAL (T Austin) causing it (CRANBERRY PARK ) to blunder and almost unseat its rider. NUAL (T Austin) drifted out and CRANBERRY PARK drifted in over the concluding stages. R Barone, rider of 4th placed SHALELEH requested to see the video prior to correct weight. It was determined that despite the movement he had always had plenty of room and no action was taken.
All winners were sent to be swabbed.
