1st – GALMAHRA 2nd – NATIVE HUNTER 3rd – GRACEFUL LAD 4th – JON ROBIE
Delay to start of racing due to late arrival of the ambulance at the track.
TURN (Dot Slack-Smith) shifted outward on jumping inconveniencing EIGHTHDAN (App.James Riordan) in doing so.
JON ROBIE (Rhett Bellert) tended to hang in from about the 200m.
EIGHTHDAN (App.James Riordan) shifted out onto OUR GOLD CROWN (David Rewald) on the home turn inconveniencing OUR GOLD CROWN momentarily in doing so.
Trainer Croydon Hampton was fined $100 for failing to provide identification papers for NATIVE HUNTER AR 59.A. (1). Mr Jay Morris, Trainer in charge represented Croydon Hampton.
Race 2: CASSOWARY GARDENS/SAUNDERS ELECTRICS CLASS B H’CAP – 1200M
1st – TORNEDO LAD 2nd - DANCHA 3rd – SANDOWNSTEPPE 4th – PRINCE OF SOUL
PRINCE OF SOUL (Rhett Bellert) was slow to begin.
NO CLANGERS (App. James Riordan) was tightened for room at about the 200m when COLOUR CARD (David Rewald) shifted out slightly.
Race 3: COOLA CARPETS/ELDERS INSURANCE CLASS 3 PLATE - 1400 M
1st – BENNEY THE REUS 2nd – DENMARK LANE 3rd – GUMBO 4th – BARWON RIVER
DENMARK LANE (David Rewald) was slow away.
Race 4: L & H ELECTRICAL WHOLESALES CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1000 M
1st – WELL EQUIPPED 2nd – XAAROOM 3rd – ZAMBUCCA MAGIC 4th – SUPREME ASCOT
Jockey Shane Oates was charged with a breach of AR 137 (c) for making a celebrity gesture prior his Mount crossing the finishing line. Jockey Shane Oates pleaded guilty and was fined $100.00.
Race 5: GORDON POPEYE SAUNDERS MEMORIAL CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1000 M
1st – INDOLLARGENCE 2nd – I’M A SEQUALO 3rd - YUKON LAD 4th – OUR PEACEFUL
YUKON LAD (App. James Riordan) threw its head in the air at the start losing ground.
Race 6: CRAIGLEA/RAHEEN/MARR’S MATILDA HIGHWAY OPEN H’CAP – 1000M
1st - INNARTO 2nd – NARRABEEN 3rd – LIKE A SEQUALO 4th – EQUITANT
NARRABEEN (David Monaghan) was slow away.
EQUITANT (Corey Gilby) was slow into stride.
FEARS (App. Kym Pedron), after leading early, tended to hang out from about the 400m causing difficulty for the rider. Trainer Michael Courtney was advised by Stewards that corrective action was required to be taken with the gelding. Trainer Michael Courtney satisfied Stewards that the gelding was supported in the betting.
Jockey David Monaghan NARRABEEN was given permission to view the Photo Finish prior to correct weight.
Race 7: XXXX/AUSTRALIAN STOCKMAN’S HALL OF FAME CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1600M
1st – POWER ’N’ WATER 2nd – DANCE FOR ALL 3rd – NEWS TO ME 4th – COCKTAIL SHAKER
Apprentice Chad Pay was fined $50 for a breach of AR 92 (12) failing to claim his full allowance.
POWER ‘N’ WATER (Shane Oates) was slow away and then had to ease off the heels of front runners at about the 1200m.
DANCE FOR ALL (Dot Slack-Smith) hung in from about the 200m inconveniencing COCKTAIL SHAKER (David Monaghan). BILLIGABOO (Rhett Bellert) was also inconvenienced in the run to the line. Steward’s inquiry resulted in Dot Slack-Smith being reprimanded by Stewards for continued use of whip when her Mount was shifting ground.
