SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Jockey D.Monaghan’s reason for not accepting more than two (2) rides for the meeting due to his returning to riding following a surgical procedure was accepted by stewards. Jockey Monaghan then undertook to ride
MY LION ANGEL in race 2. (3 rides)

Race 1: LONGREACH OCKEY CLUB CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1000 M
1st – CEDE’S SISTER 2nd - ROCKING ON GOLD 3rd - RECALIBRATE 4th - BLAZE OF RORY

Trainer Charlie Prow was given permission to engage Apprentice Toni Hall to ride CALL MATILDA 2.5KG over weight as he had been unable to engage a rider at the allotted weight.
Apprentice Toni Hall was spoken to by Stewards advising of her obligation to be available to ride at her nominated riding weight.

IN DEMAND (David Rewald) was fidgety in the Barrier.

CEDE’S SISTER (Mathew O’Connell) shifted outward on jumping inconveniencing EIGHTHDAN (Rhett Bellert) in doing so.

BLAZE OF RORY (Carmel Baker) tended to hang in over the final 300 metres.

Race 2: ILFRACOMBE PRODUCE CLASS 5 HANDICAP – 1000M
1st - TUSCAN BLAZE 2nd - STROMBOLI 3rd - OUR GOLD CROWN 4th - UNREQUITED

UNREQUITED (Shane Oates) was slow into stride.

MY LION ANGEL (David Monaghan) was slow into stride.

Race 3: AUSTRALIA POST (MANDY EGAN) MAIDEN PLATE – 1100 M
1st - PALOLO DEEP 2nd - HE KNOWS IT ALL 3rd - RUN LIKE A DHEER 4th - SHE’S NADIA

PENGUIN ROCK underwent a Veterinary inspection at the Barrier and was cleared to start.

Both RUN LIKE A DHEER (Dot Slack-Smith) and PENGUIN ROCK (Rhonda Seymour)
jumped awkwardly inconveniencing SPEEDY BOB (Mathew O’Connell) at the start.

RUN LIKE A DHEER (Dot Slack-Smith) hung in from about the 350M.mark inconveniencing PENGUIN ROCK (Rhonda Seymour) from that stage of the race. Stewards were satisfied that jockey Dot Slack-Smith had made all efforts to correct the gelding.

Trainer Mark Oates was directed to take corrective action with the gelding and that Stewards expected a marked improvement in RUN LIKE A DHEER’S racing manners at its next start.
RUN LIKE A DHEER returned to enclosure bleeding from a cut inside of the mouth.

PALOLO DEEP (Shane Oates) veered out sharply on two occasions from about the 250M.mark.

Trainer Richard Simpson was advised to take corrective action with the gelding and that Stewards expected a marked improvement in PALOLO DEEP’S racing manners at next start.

Race 4: WOODIES MENSWEAR CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M
1st - ABLE SEAMAN 2nd – REGINALD 3rd - C’EST LE TEMPS 4th - CHERRY BAB

ABLE SEAMAN (App.Toni Hall) was fidgety in Barrier.

DANCHA (Carmel Baker) was fidgety in Barrier.

David Monaghan (REGINALD) was given permission to view the video replay of the race prior to correct weight.

Race 5: ANZ BANK OPEN HANDICAP – 1200M
1st - INNARTO 2nd - DANCE FOR ALL 3rd - DUSTY DANIEL 4th - SUN AND SAND

Trainer Henry Forster (person in charge) was given permission to engage App. Toni Hall to ride DOCTOR HENNESSY 2.5KG over weight as Trainer W Irwin was unable to engage a jockey of the right weight.
No incidents in running.
