Race 1: SUNCORP LONGREACH MAIDEN PLATE 1100m:
1ST-- DEVIOUS MAN 2nd – PIPPA’S CALL 3rd – ARDINI 4th-- FITTIPALDI
CICERAO MOUNTAIN (J. Brown) and FITTIPALDI (D. Rewald) bumped on jumping.
CICERAO MOUNTAIN travelled wide for the majority of the event.
ARDINI (S. Egan) was held up momentarily for clear running at the top of the straight.
DEVIOUS MAN (T. Brummell) drifted out down the majority of the home straight.
Race 2: GEOFF GREALY MEMORIAL QTIS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1100m:
1ST -- SPIRIT OF SARAH 2nd – SURROUNDED BY SIN 3rd – FOXI ELI 4TH -- STARS ARE BORN
IMAROCKET (S. Galvin) reared as the gates opened losing considerable ground.
YANNICKI (J. Brown) blundered at the start.
SOLYMAR (S. McGovern) showed no early pace.
ASTRALON (R. Kerwin) travelled wide for the majority of the event.
STARS ARE BORN (R. Mules) travelled wide in the later stages of the event.
IMAROCKET (S. Galvin) hung out rounding the home turn.
Race 3: SAUNDERS ELECTRICS/S.J. MARSHALL CONTRACTING OPEN HANDICAP 1200m:
1st –KNOWN PROSPECT 2nd – GESINK 3rd – HEZA FLASHMAN 4th – EQUITANT
REIGNING TO WIN (K. Ballard) travelled wide for the majority of the event.
STARBURST (D. Rewald) travelled wide for the majority of the event.
GESINK (J. Brown) cast a front nearside plate in the running of the event and pulled up lame. After a veterinary inspection trainer R. Simpson was advised that a vet certificate of soundness would be required before the gelding’s next start.
Race 4: RINGROSE BUTTON CLASS B HANDICAP 1400m:
1st – ELECTRONIC BEE 2nd – LEGAL LIMIT 2ND d -- BELL’S EXPRESS 4th – EPIC DANCER
CATARIA (R. Mules) jumped outwards and drifted extremely wide on the track and raced greenly throughout the event.
EPIC DANCER (D. Rewald), VANGUARD (S. Egan) and BAROQUE STAR (T. Brummell) were all slow into stride.
At approximately the 1150m CATARIA (R. Mules) makes contact with VENNOM (S. McGovern) causing the gelding to be held up for a stride. Upon returning to scale it was noted that the gelding had cast the two near side shoes.
BAROQUE STAR (T. Brummell) and VANGUARD (S. Egan) both travelled wide for the majority of the event.
LEGAL LIMIT (K. Ballard) hung out rounding the home turn.
VENNOM (S. McGovern) hung out down the home straight.
Race 5: G&D BALLARD/STARLIGHT’S TAVERN LONGREACH 125YRS ANNIVERSARY CUP CLASS 4 1300m:
1st – CAVALRYMAN 2nd – NO OTHER WAY 3rd – TATYOON 4th -- SAMSKI
HUFF AND PUFF (S. Galvin) was slow into stride and traveled wide for the majority of the event.
BELLESPY (T. Brummell) race wide for the majority of the event.
SUDDENLY SWEET (R. Kerwin) was slow away and traveled wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
Race 6: LANDMARK LONGREACH CLASS 3 PLATE 800m:
1ST - BLITZED 2ND -- SILVERADO 3RD -- WHAT DO YOU WANT 4TH -- GUSTO
SHIPIN was a late scratching at 3:25 pm on veterinary advice due to the mare showing signs of lameness. Trainer R. Simpson was advised that a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required before the mare could race again.
FOUR JOY (W. Doyle) jumped awkwardly out of the gates then bounded for a number of strides before stretching out causing the mare to lose considerable ground then traveled wide throughout the event.
CRASH BAM BOOM (R.Kerwin) traveled wide for the majority of the event.
