Race 1: CORNETTS IGA MAIDEN PLATE - 1000m
1st – HONEY BLONDE 2nd – SWEENEY 3rd – BROWN PAPER BEAR 4th – JOLLY GOOD OPTION

FALSZAK (R. Hancock), which was slow to being, was tightened for room shortly after the start between SWEENEY (D. Rewald) and BROWN PAPER BEAR (S. Egan), both of which shifted ground.

HONEY BLONDE (T. Banks) jumped awkwardly.

HONEY BLONDE was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.


Race 2: SHELL SERVICE STATION CLASS 2 HCAP – 1000m
1st – WASHER 2nd – KEV'S DESTINY 3rd – HOLEY GADOLEY 4th – HARDCOVER

GARDER LA FOI (W. Doyle) and HARDCOVER (D. Rewald) were slow to begin.

WASHER was inclined to lay out under pressure in the home straight.

GARDER LA FOI, which performed below market expectations, lost both fore plates in running.


Race 3: SAUNDERS ELECTRICAL CLASS 6 PLATE – 1100m
1st – MAYOR OF CLONMEL 2nd – DOMINANT PLAY 3rd – FOUR JOY 4th – BLAKTAR

DOMINANT PLAY (App. G. Steele), which was fractious in the mounting yard, was examined at the barriers by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.

The start of this race was delayed when DOMINANT PLAY and MAYOR OF CLONMEL (S. Egan) were fractious in the barriers.

DOMINANT PLAY was slow to begin.

FOUR JOY (App. B. Newport) began awkwardly and shifted out.

MAYOR OF CLONMEL, which was inclined to hang out under pressure in the home straight, shifted out abruptly at the 50m.


Race 4: MARLIN PTY LTD CLASS B HCAP – 1200m
1st – PIPPA'S CALL 2nd – SNIPPETSFILLY 3rd – BOYS SPLURGE 4th – VANGUARD

HUGHIE AND ME was a late scratching at 11.30am as no rider was available.

MOSCOW (S. McCullum) and STREET ART (S. Egan) were slow to begin.

BOYS SPLURGE (T. Banks) began awkwardly.

DEEKAYEL (App. B Newport) raced wide throughout.


Race 5: THURECHT BROS SADDLERY OPEN HCAP – 1400m
1st – TATYOON 2nd – DUAL ECHELON 3rd – JOE BLOW 4th – NEPTUNE EXPRESS

LUCASAM (W. Doyle) was slow to begin.

NEPTUNE EXPRESS (App. B. Newport) began awkwardly and was slow to muster speed.

DUAL ECHELON (T. Banks.) began awkwardly and shifted out.

JOE BLOW (D. Rewald) overraced in the early stages.

TATYOON (App. G. Steele) raced wide throughout.

When questioned regarding the performance of REIGNING TO WIN, which lost ground from the 600m, rider R Hancock reported that the gelding did not handle today's soft track and usually races best when starting from a wider barrier. Stewards noted his explanation.
