General.
Until Race Two, nine (9) riders were available for rides at this meeting. However, in Race Two, Jockey Daryll BROWN suffered a serious fall and was conveyed by Ambulance to the Cloncurry Hospital and did not return to the course. The fact that BROWN was injured and had rides in Races 3,4,5, and 6 meant changes to be made to the riding engagements in those races. Further, as the Ambulance was absent from the McKinlay Racecourse for some two and a half hours, the starting times for races three to six inclusive had to re-scheduled accordingly.
