Race 1 Horseland Class 1 Hcp 1500m.

CEETU and HIGH HOPE were slow away.

Jockey R.Mules the rider of CEETU was reminded of his obligations to refrain from using an excessive amount of whip on a horse out of contention.

Race 2 XXXX Maiden Hcp 1250m.

SHIPWAY was slow away.

Approaching the 200m NIGHT VISION was held up for clear running between MAJOR BLAZE & HIP HIP HURRAH.

Race 3 Maguires Hotel Open Hcp 1250m.

ITALIAN EXPRESS was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages.

Race 4 Shamrock Hotel Blarney Bar Class 4 Hcp 1250m.

DAVE’S CHANCE blundered badly on jumping.

BROTHER TAZ was slow away.

When questioned as to the riding tactics employed on DEPATRO in today’s event Jockey R.Pujolas stated that he was instructed to go forward from the wide alley and cross if possible but when DAVE’S CHANCE kicked up on his inside DEPATRO took hold of the bit and raced fiercly and as a result he elected to go to the lead rather than attempt to fight the gelding and settle behind DAVE’S CHANCE. Trainer M.Attard confirmed the instructions. Their comments were noted but Mr Attard was advised that if there be any significant change to tactics he must advise the stewards.

DEPATRO bled during the running of this event. As it was the first time that the gelding had bled it automatically incurred a 3 month bar from racing. DEPATRO was swabbed.

Race 5 Porters Class 2 Hcp 1050m.

RORY’S LOVE was slow away.

Near the 800m STEGASAURUSES shifted in momentarily tightening the running of RORY’S LOVE & HARRY JUNIOR.

Near the 400m STEGASAURUSES again shifted in slightly tightening the running of RORY’S LOVE & HARRY JUNIOR which had to be steadied.

Race 6 TF Woollam Class 6 Hcp 1050m.

BEG TO DIFFER was a late scratching at 2.00pm by order of the stewards due to a discrepancy in the ownership.

No racing incidents.

All winners were sent to be swabbed as was DEPATRO which bled.
