WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD RAIL – TRUE
RACE 1 XXXX CLASS 6 HCP 1500M.
TUDOR JAMES jumped away awkwardly.
TUDOR JAMES got its head up and over raced in the early stages.
DADDY’S LITTLE MAN was caught wide in the early and middle stages.
Near the 400m CULOTTES made contact with the fence after being tightened for room when TUDOR JAMES shifted in onto TOP MOVE, which continued to shift in of its own accord. In this incident both C.Beets and G. Bell were cautioned.
Near the 150m TOP MOVE again shifted in and hampered CULOTTES.
RACE 2 BOOMERANG HOTEL CLASS 2 HCP 1500M.
Trainer W.Hetherington was fined $50 for failing to declare a rider for IMTENT by the required time.
NEED A DOLLAR was a late scratching at the barrier on vets advice when it was found to be sore in the off fore leg. Deductions of 16c the win and 14c the place on the face value of winning tickets were declared. Trainer D Erricker was advised that a vet certificate would have to be produced prior to NEED A DOLLAR racing again.
Approaching the first turn DARBEAR, which was racing ungenerously, had to be steadied off the heels of AFTER YOU.
RACE 3 T F WOOLAM CLASS 1 HCP 1250M.
WORLD OF DREAMS jumped away awkwardly.
QUESADILLA blundered on jumping.
QUESADILLA raced ungenerously in the early stages.
WORLD OF DREAMS travelled wide throughout.
RACE 4 A E SMITH MAIDEN HCP 1050M.
SIGY LASS was slow away.
HURRICANE BREWING jumped away awkwardly.
Near the 900m PARTI COLOUR had to be steadied off the heels of BLUE FACET, which shifted in and away from MAJOR BLAZE.
MAJOR BLAZE was unable to obtain clear running down the home straight.
DO THE TWIST had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
Ms G. Bell the rider of PARTI COLOUR was cautioned for attempting a run inside the 100m between MAJOR BLAZE and GINJOS where there was insufficient room.
A post race vet inspection of SIGY LASS, which finished a long, last failed to reveal any abnormalities.
RACE 5 COCA COLA CLASS 4 HCP 1050M.
POOCHA jumped out at the start and made contact with KAJNO.
NOISY CREW bled from both nostrils for the first time and automatically incurred a 3-month bar from racing.
RACE 6 BUNDABERG RUM OPEN HCP 1050M.
CITIZEN SYD jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with the gates.
HAS IT ALL jumped away awkwardly.
THE TANK blundered on jumping away.
Near the 900m CITIZEN SYD had to be steadied off the heels of THE TANK, which shifted in.
PASSER PASSION was held up for clear running until passing the 200m.
All winners were sent to be swabbed.
