WEATHER –FINE TRACK – GOOD Upgraded to FAST after Race 1

GENERAL
Jockey R Mules indisposed following a track fall early today.
Replaced on KRUGER PARK by M Barnham in race 1
Replaced on RA ECLIPSE by M Goodwin race 5
Replaced on GENTLE LOVER by M Barnham in race 6

RACE 1: CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1250M
QUESADILLA (G Michaels) reared as the gates opened losing ground.
D Simmons was questioned by stewards regarding the poor showing of BURLY MAN in the early and middle stages. He stated that his mount could not go with the fast pace in the early stages. His explanation was noted.
SNAALEE (M Goodwin) eased on the home turn when PRIDE OF SEQUALO (J Stanley), which was weakening, rolled in momentarily.

RACE 2: MAIDEN HCP – 1250M
HIGHRON (B Appo) slowly away.
TRIPLE KAM (M Barnham) slowly away.
TOURNIQUET (D Crossland) slowly away.
When attempting a run from behind FIERY FEMME at about the 50 metres HIGHRON (B Appo) came into contact with LION DOWN (J Stanley) which in turn bumped ROYAL TENOR (P Cullen) which was weakening.

RACE 3: CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1800M
Passing the post the first time WITH INTENT (L Timson) had to ease from OFFICER (B Appo) which shifted in slightly when being eased from the heels of SWAMP PRINCESS (J Stanley).
Approaching the home turn LAWSOME (C Beets) rolled off the fence when being restrained from the heels of SPLIT THE WIND (M Barnham) bumping OFFICER (B Appo) which inturn bumped SWAMP PRINCESS (J Stanley) out onto WITH INTENT (L Timson).
SPLIT THE WIND eased from the heels of ALLIE BOB (M Goodwin) when unable to obtain a run inside MELLING (K Mahoney) on the home turn.

RACE 4: 3YO CLASS 3 HCP – 1250M
ROSIELEE MISS (C Beets) reluctant to load and raced greenly throughout.
ARU (G Michaels) dipped and blundered as the gates opened losing ground.

RACE 5: OPEN H’CAP– 1500M
C Schumacher unable to make the required weight on DANCER’S EDGE and replaced by M Evans. C Schumacher fined $100.
CORD (M Barnham) threw its head in the air when being restrained in the early stages.




RACE 6: CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1050M
Trainer G Hughes fined $50 for failing to produce the document of description for KING CAL (NZ).
TIO RAMA (W Binder) dislodged its rider whilst going onto the track and returned to its stall. The horse underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
RIVIERA PLAYBOY (C Beets) threw its head in the air as the gates opened striking C Beets in the face and lost ground. RIVIERA PLAYBOY disappointed for a run on two occasions over the concluding stages.
NESSUNO (M Unwin) was overacing approaching the 600 metres and shifted out when being restrained coming into contact with JAZZARK (B Appo) slightly inconveniencing that horse.

RACE 7: CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1500M
Trainer M Crouch fined $50 for presenting DANZIP to race without blinkers.
As the gates opened MILES ON (S Quick) jumped outwards to RICKABY CREEK (B Appo).
PET ROCK (W Binder) and DANZIP (G Michaels) slowly away.
CANNY FELLA ( P Cullen) overaced in the early and middle stages whist being restrained.
MIGHTY PHUN (A Molino) overaced from the 800 metres to the 600 metres.

RACE 8: CLASS 2 HCP – 1250M
At about the 1100 metre mark Jockey Alby Molina was dislodged from MISTER MUM.
Stewards opened an enquiry and took evidence from the following riders:

David Crossland - Lady Lunchtime
Billy Binder – Major Thomas
G Booth - Financial Heights
David Simmons – Ireland
C Schumacher – Elanor King
Mark Barnham - Red Bay
The enquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed when A Molina would be available to give evidence.
