GENERAL
Justin Stanley reported indisposed following a track accident.
Replaced on BOTTLE NOSE by M Bennett in race 3
Replaced on BALLOON MAN by K Mahoney race 5
Replaced on MARSCAT by M Bennett in race 7
M Elliott reported indisposed due to flu.
Replaced on ADNUPAK by J Stopps in race 4.
An enquiry commenced on the 24th November into an incident in which jockey Alby Molino was dislodged from MISTER MUM was concluded. After taken evidence from Alby Molino, M Barnham (RED BAY), M Goodwin (FACIAL) and D Simmons (IRELAND) D Simmons was charged with careless riding. He was found guilty and suspended from riding in races from 21/11/2003 up to and including 14/12/03.

RACE 1: CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1500M
MAJOR THOMSON scratched at 8:19am on veterinary advice. Veterinary certificate required prior to renominating.
GNAEUS POMPEIUS (NZ) slow into stride and failed to stretch out at any stage. D Simmons pulled the whip at about the 800m but the horse failed to respond. Stewards ordered a veterinary inspection of that horse. Trainer M Attard advised stewards that the horse would be retired. Vet reported that the horse appeared sore in the left front superficial flexor tendon.

RACE 2: MAIDEN HCP – 1250M
M Crouch fined $50 late stable return AMBERACE.
MORE ELEGANCEE (Bill Binder) slowly away.
A protest was lodged by K Mahoney, rider of second placed JAKEO, against FLYING CHARM (G Michaels) being declared the winner alleging interference at about the 300m. After hearing evidence, viewing the videos and on their own observations the protest was dismissed and placings stood.
At about the 150m DEMO MODEL (M Barnham) shifted in despite the best efforts of its rider and inconvenienced LYDIA RUTH (D Simmons)

RACE 3: CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1250M
GENTLE LOVER (R Mules) slowly away.
RUSTY REGAL (L Timson) slowly away.
SNIPPETY SNIP (G Michaels) attempted hang in and away from SHE’S DECENT (H Watanabe) in the early stages.
AFTER YOU bled for the second time during the race and is barred forever.

RACE 4: CLASS 1 HCP – 1050M
FLYING FIBS (L Fitzsimmons) blundered as the gates opened and race greenly throughout.
HIGHRON (B Appo) slowly away.
DO THE TWIST (Bill Binder) blundered at the start and had to be steadied at about 800m when GILLETTE (C Beets) shifted in slightly.

RACE 5: CLASS 5 H’CAP– 1050M
M Crouch fined $50 late rider ALANOR KING
Trainer C Lammonde fined $50 for producing MANSMAHOOD without pacifiers.
ALANOR KING (C Schumacher) slowly away.
RIVIERA PLAYBOY (C Beets) stood in the boxes and was extremely slow to jump. RIVIERA PLAYBOY was barred until it passed a barrier test to the satisfaction of stewards.
Jockey C Beets was fined $50 for inappropriate use of the whip on a horse in the mounting yard.
PROVEN bled for the second time during the race and is barred forever.
BALLOON MAN (K Mahoney) was forced to change course after straightening when MANSMAHOUD (D Whitmore) shifted away from the heels ACQUIRE (J Stopps). BALLOON MAN shifted towards the fence and commenced to take a run on the inside of PROVEN (M Bennett). However BALLOON MAN attempted to lug out and K Mahoney checked at about the 75m and failed to attempt a further run on the inside stating that PROVEN was shifting back in. Stewards did not agree and reprimanded K Mahoney for his lack of enthusiasm over the concluding stages. D Whitmore was reprimanded.
BURLY MAN (D Simmons) shifted out sharply in the straight endeavouring to obtain a run. No inconvenience to any runner.

RACE 6: CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1500M
M Crouch fined $50 for producing TOBIANA without pacifiers
As the gates opened MR AVALANCHE (M Barnham) jumped in onto MISREAL (S Watkin), which in turn bumped TOBIANA (L Fitzsimmons).
DUNE BUGGY (D Simmons) jumped outwards to KRUGER PARK (R Mules) seriously inconveniencing ALLIE BOB (M Goodwin) .

RACE 7: CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1500M
M Crouch fined $50 for ineligible nomination for OCCULAR being a Class 2 horse.
DANZIP (L Fitzsimmons), DANCER’S EDGE (C Schumacher) and RICKABY CREEK (B Appo) all slowly away.

RACE 8: OPEN HCP – 1250M
L Manzelmann fined $50 for failing to produce MONTCHANIN (NZ) without the appropriate gear (bandages)
DANCE AT HOME (G Michaels) blundered as the gates opened losing ground.
Approaching the 800m ANALYTIC (J Stopps) commenced to over race, got its head in the air and had to be restrained from the heels of NEW YORK TIMES (M Barnham).
D Simmons reported that MONTCHANIN (NZ) felt uncomfortable on the hard track and returned to scale with a cut on the off fore heel.

THREE (3) BOOKMAKERS FIELDED.

WINNERS OF ALL RACES, AFTER YOU and PROVEN WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
