Trainer T Cook fined $50 for failing to declare a rider on MR BALLISTIC. (LR70)
An enquiry was held into an incident on the home turn in which YA WAHEED had shifted outwards causing GLEN MONARCH to shift across the heels of ASTROFLASH. It was determined that MR BALLISTIC (L Morrison) when attempting a run to the inside of YA WAHEED had shifted out and caused YA WAHEED to shift wider and inconvenience GLEN MONARCH. L Morrison was reprimanded and advised to show more care in future.
A protest was lodged by 4th placed AWESOME WARRIOR (R Plumb) against DR FELINE being declared 2nd placegetter alleging interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence, viewing the video and on their own observations stewards were of the opinion that any interference suffered was insufficient to warrant the altering of the placings and dismissed the protest. Apprentice L Fyfe was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in over the concluding stages.
A post race veterinary examination of AWESOME WARRIOR revealed a small wound to the outside of the near fore cannon.

CLEAR INTENT had to be resaddled when it was found that gear had inadvertently been left off. This was found to have occurred due to haste, which occurred because of the delay with the protest and the approaching darkness. R Plumb was reprimanded and instructed to take more care in future.
