Race 1: Class 2 HANDICAP – 1500m – 4 starters
IST MATRIX 2ND KINGLINESS 3RD GENTING 4TH KUMATAI

LARRIKIN LANCE was a late scratching at 12.16pm as no rider was available to replace Jockey M Dale who had reported in with illness.
MATRIX was slow into stride.
KINGLINESS was inclined to race ungenerously in the early stages of the race and approaching the 1000 metre mark was eased to avoid the heels of MATRIX when the pace had slowed.




Race 2: Class 5 HANDICAP – 1250m – 5 starters
IST AMBERACE 2nd HIGH RANGER 3RD PROTOTYPE 4TH UNIVERSAL LAD

Jockey D Lloyd replaced Jockey M Dale on AMBERACE due to illness.
Jockey R Barone was allowed to ride a half-kilogram overweight as no other rider was available.
Approaching the 950 metre mark PROTOTYPE and AMBERACE came together.
At approximately the 850metre mark PROTOTYPE was eased momentarily when tightened for racing room.

Race 3: Class 3 HANDICAP – 1250m – 6 starters
IST END SONG 2ND HUNTER SUPREME 3RD NO TRICK 4TH CHIEF EAGLE EYED

Shortly after the gates opened CHIEF EAGLE EYED shifted inwards contacting HUNTER SUPREME.
SIT ‘N’ THINK was slow into stride.
Approaching the 1000 metre mark END SONG shifted outwards making contact with CHIEF EAGLE EYED who then shifted across the heels of NO TRICKS.
Over the concluding stages, CHIEF EAGLE EYED momentarily shifted inwards contacting NO TRICKS.

Race 4: Class MAIDEN PLATE – 1250m – 6 starters
IST TOULITOOTS 2ND TODMAN POWER 3RD CAMP DAVID 4TH DANGER AND DESIRE

Jockey D Lloyd replaced Jockey M Dale on TODMAN POWER due to illness.
Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the 900 metre mark when DANGER AND DESIRE shifted inwards resulting in CAMP DAVID and SAM THE EAGLE being placed in restricted racing room and resulting in both those horses making heavy contact. After taking evidence from the riders, observation of the Stewards and viewing the patrol film it was the opinion of the Stewards that Apprentice T Bannon had allowed her mount DANGER AND DESIRE to shift inward when insufficiently clear of CAMP DAVID. Stewards issued a severe reprimand for careless riding under Australian Rule of Racing AR137(a) to Apprentice T Bannon.
Race 4: Class MAIDEN PLATE continued

After rounding the home turn TODMAN POWER was inclined to run about.
SAM THE EAGLE was disappointed for a run behind DANGER AND DESIRE and CAMP DAVID between the 300 metre mark and the 100 metre mark.

Race 5: OPEN HANDICAP – 1050m - 5 starters
IST CAMBOOYA 2ND GOLD EYE 3RD DR FELINE 4TH MIGHTY STRONGHOLD

As the gates opened CHIEF BULLI jumped outwards and DR FELINE was slow into stride.
DR FELINE was momentarily eased off the heels of MIGHTY STRONGHOLD at approximately the 350 metre mark.

Race 6: Class 1 HANDICAP – 1050m – 7 starters
IST TENZERO 2ND NOBLEMAN’S FANCY 3RD ISIS QUEEN 4TH JUST WAYTIN

Jockey W Binder replaced Jockey M Dale on CHARLEE BUNKIT due to illness.
Jockey R Barone was allowed to ride a half kilogram overweight as no other rider was available. Jockey W Binder was allowed to ride three kilogram overweight as no other rider was available.
Shortly after the start, CHILLI CHICKS was eased off the heels of ISIS QUEEN.
Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the 700 metre mark, when TENZERO shifted inwards resulting in NOBLEMAN’S FANCY, JUST WAYTIN and CHARLEE BUNKIT being placed in restricted racing room and resulting in JUST WAYTIN having to be eased, losing it’s position in the race. After taking evidence from the riders, observation of the Stewards and viewing the patrol film it was the opinion of the Stewards that Jockey G Michaels had allowed his mount TENZERO to momentarily shift inward when insufficiently clear of NOBLEMAN’S FANCY. Stewards also noted the Jockey G Michaels immediately took corrective action to relieve the pressure once applied. Stewards issued a reprimand for careless riding under Australian Rule of Racing AR137 (a) to Jockey G Michaels.
