Race 1: Highland Earth Moving Maiden Plate Distance – 1123m.

1st Rockets Of Gold 2 nd – Lioness Star 3rd – Flying Ruscay 4th- Marilyn’s Magic

As the gates opened DODGY DODGE (D Crossland) jumped outwards. FLYING RUSCAY (K Brady) and DODGY DODGE were slow into galloping action.LIONESS STAR (F Edwards) shifted out at the 550m. position Making light contact with MARILYN’S magic.

Race 2 Bernie & Frances O’Shea Open Handicap Distance – 1010m.
1st - Carbon Gold 2nd - Didjano 3rd - Kalbo Road 4th- Dartbrook King

MONGKE (Ms. P D’Addona) was slow to leave the starting stalls and jumped awkwardly. The gelding was pulled up at the 600m. position, its rider fearing that the gelding had broken down. MONGKE was later examined by the clubs veterinary surgeon who could not find anything wrong with the horse. Mr. R Duce, the trainer of MONGKE, who reported that it may have struck itself when it left the starting stalls, was instructed to inform the stewards of the condition of the gelding before nominating again.

Race 3:Oakdare Holdings Class B Handicap Distance—1010m.
1st - Final Thought 2nd - Yakka Yakka 3rd - Let’s Twist Again 4th-Nathan’s Command

KRUPNIK (Ms.P D’Addona) showed no early pace and raced ungenerously. MAYA MAGIC (F Edwards) over raced in the early stages of the race and was forced to ease in the final 25m. when YAKKA YAKKA (C McCallum) moved in under pressure.

Race 4: Class 1 Handicap Distance – 1210m.

1st. Serious Hero 2nd - Good Old Days 3rd – In New York 4th-.Victory Beau

A protest was lodged by jockey L Nelson rider of GOOD OLD DAYS placed second by the judges against SERIOUS HERO, ridden by Ms. K Penrose, being awarded the first place, alleging interference at the home turn. After taking evidence from both parties, viewing the video patrol film of the race and acting on their own observations the Stewards dismissed the protest on the grounds that any interference to GOOD OLD DAYS could not solely be attributed to the actions of SERIOUS HERO or its rider. At the 400m. position IN NEW YORK (C McCallum) drifted out taking SERIOUS HERO wide on the track.
