HERE I GO AGAIN was a late scratching at 12.55 due to the horse failing to enter the starting barriers. Bookmakers were directed to rule their books off. HERE I GO AGAIN will be required to perform a satisfactory barrier trial prior to racing again. A deduction of 19¢ in the dollar for a win and 16¢ in the dollar for a place was directed on wagers above the line and all investments on HERE I GO AGAIN be refunded.
RED TUTU (B. Swaffer) jumped out as the start was effected bumping MY MATE NATE (J. Dickinson) on to DRAGON HART (G. Watson).
EDITORIALE (F. Edwards) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride as the start was effected.
Race 2: Class B Handicap – 900M

READ ALL ABOUT ME was a late scratching at 13.39 due to the gelding failing to enter the starting barriers. Bookmakers were advised to rule off their books. READ ALL ABOUT ME will be required to perform a satisfactory barrier trial prior to racing again. A deduction of 37¢ in the dollar for a win and 23¢ in the dollar for a place was directed on all wagers above the line and all investments to be refunded on READ ALL ABOUT ME.
NOTABITOFWHITE (B. Swaffer) raced wide in the early stages of the race.
OUR GEORGIA’S ROSE (K. Stone) was slow into stride as the start was effected.
EREBUS (S. Pawsey) was inspected by the veterinary after the race who reported the horse had knocked out two teeth resulting in blood within its mouth.
Race 3: Benchmark 60 Handicap– 1123M
Ist: Love That Dragon 2nd: Diva Dior 3rd: Lideem 4th: Ottana
LOVE THAT DRAGON (J. Kuskopf) jumped in as the start was effected and DIVA DIOR (G. Watson) jumped out resulting in both horses bumping.
Stewards questioned apprentice B. Swaffer in relation to the riding tactics adopted on OTTANA when shortly after the start Apprentice Swaffer shifted to a position on the fence. Apprentice Swaffer explained that with the early pace in the race he did not wish to push his horse and use him up early. Apprentice Swaffer also stated that the horse was having his first start from a spell and that the heavy track did not suit the horse. Apprentice Swaffer’s explanation was noted.
Race 4: Class 4 Handicap – 1210M
1st: Lil’ Red Monkey 2nd: Great Impressions 3rd: Army Of One 4th: Chronic
HOAKSTESS (W. D’Avila) reared out of the barriers as the start was effected then over raced for approximately 200 metres. Jockey D’Avila advised that he had trouble holding the horse in the early stages of the race.
Stewards cautioned Apprentice J. Kuskopf (GREAT IMPRESSIONS) in relation to an incident at approximately the 1000 metre point when she crossed to the lead in advance of ARMY OF ONE (S. Kaya) causing Jockey Kaya to restrain his mount momentarily.
Race 5: Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1500M
1st: Denonate 2nd: Here to Dash 3rd: Cyclone Larry 4th: Towser
Jockey K. Rockett was charged under the provisions of AR 120b for accepting the ride on ELEVATOR when he was unable to make the allocated weight. Jockey Rockett pleaded guilty to the charge and made submissions to the stewards in relation to penalty. Stewards took into account Jockey Rockett’s submission and subsequently fined Jockey Rocket $200. A late riding change on ELEVATOR was made at 15.10 from K. Rockett to G. Watson.
ELEVATOR (G. Watson) lead the field to the 400 metre point then compounded to finish a distant last. Jockey Watson explained to stewards that the horse pulled up in a distressed condition. A veterinary inspection of the gelding revealed no abnormalities. Trainer P. D’Addona advised that the horse would be spelled. Stewards advised the trainer that a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to the horse racing again.
Race 6: Open Handicap – 1010M
1st: Panecillo 2nd: Sun warrior 3rd: Bolt From The Blue 4th: Desperate Woman
STIEG (S. Pawsey) jumped out as the start was effected bumping MR BULISTA (G. Watson) who was also bumped by BEURRE (S. Kaya) who jumped in. STIEG (S. Pawsey) lost ground as a result.
CANYON ROAD (F. EAdwards) and MR BULISTA (G. Watson) raced wide into the home straight.
