GENERAL:

The explanation of trainer R McCall for the late declaration of riders on MR SANPPY (Race 1) and WRESTED (Race 3) was accepted.

Trainer N Petersen was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare a rider for SPINOUT (Race 5) by the required time.

RACE 1: GAEDTKE’S BULK MEAT & BACON MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1000m

As Peter Clarke was shown in the racebook as the rider of EARLY GENIUS and only holds a trainers licence in this area he was replaced by apprentice A Ware.

SATAN’S GAL was slow to begin.

BANJO MAN blundered on jumping away dislodging apprentice F Critch.

A short distance after the start BANJO MAN shifted out and made heavy contact with OMEN ROSE.

Trainer B Green was advised that a barrier certificate must be obtained for SATAN’S GAL prior to its next race start as the filly was slow to begin and raced poorly throughout the event.


RACE 2: RACE TRACK PHOTOS CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1000m

After being dislodged in Race 1 apprentice F Critch was displaced by apprentice S Galvin as the rider of MACHTIG ARAVATAMA.

Actin on Veterinary advice GLASSY was declared a late scratching at 1.43pm when the mare was found to be lame in the near hind. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on GLASSY were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 6c in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 7c in the dollar on the face value of place bets being applicable.

Trainer A Martell was advised a Veterinary clearance must be obtained for GLASSY prior to its next race start.

Jockey R Kirwan was dislodged following the running of Race 2 when ANOTHER JAZZY shifted out abruptly and was subsequently replaced on LORD ROSSO (Race 4) by R Hancock and on GUBBINGAR (Race 6) by R Hancock.


RACE 3: JOHN INNES CLASS 1 HANDICAP- 1200m

BON VIVEUR which broke through the barrier prior to the start and galloped for some distance was declared a late scratching at 2.18pm. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on BON VIVEUR were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 33c in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 29c in the dollar on the face value of place bets being applicable.

MR. WHAT shifted out shortly after the start taking JOHNNY TRISTRAM wider on the track.

The saddle of SIR VO slipped to the near side and as a result apprentice S Galvin was dislodged after passing the winning post.

As apprentice S Galvin was not injured he was able to fulfil his remaining rides.

A Veterinary examination of SIR VO revealed the gelding sustained a cut to the inside of the off hind leg.


RACE 4: SHARON RENWOOD MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1200m

MAGIC GIRL was slow to begin.

BLAZING BILL shifted out on jumping away hampering DARBELLO which was a little slow to begin.


RACE 5: WASHINGTON DEVELOPMENTS CLASS 6 HANDICAP – 1500m

No racing incidents.


RACE 6: NOEL PARMENTER MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1500m

Approaching the 600m LI’L WESTY shifted in and struck the running rail and lost ground.






THREE WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWAPPED.
