ANOTHER POWER (B. Appo) jumped outwards at the start.

In the early and middle stages TORRES STRAIT raced greenly and upon entering the straight commenced to hang out.

Mr. Ian Dowden trainer of TORRES STRAIT was advised that his runner had had a warning placed due to its reluctance to be loaded and its waywardness in its running.

Approaching the 100 metres L. Appo rider of BROTHER LEO lost an iron resulting in him being disadvantaged in riding his mount out to the finish.

Mr. R. Baker trainer of ANOTHER POWER was fined the sum of $50 for infringement of AR118A in that he removed an article of gear after it had been weighed out with.

RACE 3 3YO CLASS 3 HCP 1200 METRES (8 STARTERS) At the start SARANEE (N. Jolly) jumped outwards making contact with KENDEL WAY (M. Unwin) who in turn made contact with WITH CAUSE (D. Whitmore) which slightly hampered RORY’S LOVE (S. Watkin).

Beets) which shifted in marginally. It was established that approaching this point SAJANA MISS had been steadied off the heels of DESERT PHOENIX (NZ) and as a result of slight pressure being applied from the outside the mare struck the outside fence and lost ground.

Approaching the 200 metres DIAMOND DUKE (C. Beets) was hampered by REGAN (J. Piper) which shifted out when that runner was attempting to improve resulting in DIAMOND DUKE making contact with the hind quarters of SAJANA MISS. J. Piper was advised to exercise care when placed in similar situations.
