RACING:
RACE 1 SPECIAL CONDITIONS HCP. 1000 METRES (5 STARTERS) At the start DETECT (M. Barnham) was hampered by MANAKWILA (W. Welburn) which jumped inwards and further hampered by IMPERIAL ORDER (D. Whitmore) which jumped outwards.
RACE 2 MAIDEN HCP. 1100 METRES (12 STARTERS) At the start WHYTOOK (F. Okawa) stood flat footed resulting in that horse being slow to begin.
ANAKITA (D. Evans) and HERMOINE (M. Barnham) made contact on jumping.
ANOTHER BERYL (S. Quick) jumped inwards hampering RHUM NEGRITA (M. Unwin).
Approaching the 500 metres ON HIS OWN (C. Beets) commenced to lose ground whilst hanging badly which slightly hampered HARADA (J. Stephens) which caused ROYAL KABALENA (G. Evans) to steady.
RACE 3 CLASS 1 HCP 1200 METRES (11 STARTERS) Prior to the declaration of correct weight Craig Beets rider of ALL THINGS (NZ) placed second by the judge, requested to view the video patrol film with the view of lodging an objection against the first horse past the post MILLERS GUIDE (D. Evans). On perusal of the film C. Beets declined to pursue the matter.
Upon jumping CROWN HEIR (M. Unwin) shifted in crowding MIGHTY LAD (W. Welburn) onto the heels of NOT TELLING YOU (M. Barnham) which resulted in MIGHTY LAD blundering, causing its rider W. Welburn to become dislodged.
MILLERS GUIDE (D. Evans) shifted in approaching the 800 metres making contact with CORD (M Evans) which then resulted in him correcting his mount and steadying it and as a result WARRANULLA (D. Simmons) had to be steadied.
Approaching the 300 metres CORD was unable to obtain clear running.
RACE 4 CLASS 5 HCP 1200 METRES (9 STARTERS) D. Simmons replaced W. Welburn as the rider of CRYSTAL’S BOY.
Approaching the 700 metres OELAND (J. Stephens) brushed the running rail when placed in restricted racing room to the inside of ALBITIOUS (D. Evans) who was slightly crowded by YEO GHOST (M. Barnham) which was hanging in.
Approaching the 650 metres MONTROSE BILL (D. Whitmore) had to steady when placed in restricted racing room to the inside of MISTLAK (F. Okawa).
Approaching the 500 metres OELAND made contact with the fence.
Approaching the 400 metres CRYSTAL’S BOY (D. Simmons) had to be steadied off the heels of YEO GHOST which shifted out.
RACE 5 OPEN HCP. 1300 METRES (6 STARTERS) CARRARA LAD (J. Stephens) and GANCIA SOVEREIGN (D. Simmons) made contact.
RACE 6 CLASS 3 HCP 1600 METRES (11 STARTERS) AMITY STAR (D. Evans) was slow to begin.
Approaching the 200 metres D. Whitmore rider of CLASSIC KIWI LIP (NZ) dropped his whip.
BOOKMAKERS: Six (6) bookmakers fielded at the race meeting.
SWABBING: All winners were sent to be swabbed and the samples collected were forwarded to the Racing Science Centre for routine analysis.
