WEATHER – Fine TRACK – Good
RAIL POSTION – Short Course Rail out 2m 1300m to 800m. Out 4m 800m to 400m. True elsewhere. Long Course Rail out 3m from 700m to 400m. Cutaway 400m mark.
RACE 1: 2YO MAIDEN HCP – ABOUT 1100 METRES (5 STARTERS)
ROSIELEE MISS (C Beets) jumped outwards as the start was affected and then commenced to hang out from the home turn to the conclusion of the event. This placed Jockey C Beets in an amount of difficulty to ride his horse out over the concluding stages.
RACE 2: OPEN HCP – ABOUT 1100 METRES (7 STARTERS)
No incidents in running.
RACE 3: CLASS 1 H'CAP – ABOUT 1300 METRES (7 STARTERS)
Jockey D Whitmore was a replacement for CELESTIAL HAZE when the declared rider David Simmons was unable to make the allotted weight. Jockey Simmons was charged with a breach of AR 120(b) and subsequently fined the sum of $50.
As the start was affected SCOOBIE SNAX (S Quick) jumped away awkwardly.
Stewards fined Trainer L Vandenbosch the sum of $100 for contravening AR178(A) in that she had in her possession a number of oral syringes whilst the meeting was taking place.
RACE 4: CLASS 2 H’CAP- ABOUT 1000 METRES (11 STARTERS)
Prior to the start being affected JOAN’S CHOICE (App L Timson) broke through the front gates of the barriers and damaged the barrier rendering them unable to be used. Stewards ordered that the horse take its place to the outside of the field.
Trainer Shane Brown was advised that a warning would be placed on JOAN’S CHOICE.
RACE 5: CLASS 4 H’CAP – ABOUT 1200 METRES (14 STARTERS)
MISTER BENGAL (D Simmons) reared as the gates opened.
RACE 6: MAIDEN H’CAP – ABOUT 1400 METRES (7 STARTERS)
No incidents in running.
RACE 7: SPECIAL CONDITIONS H’CAP – ABOUT 1400 METRES (7STARTERS)
No incidents in running.
RACE 8: CLASS 2 H’CAP – ABOUT 1600 METRES (STARTERS)
SWEET CITY SIOUX (D Lloyd) raced ungenerously in the early to middle stages of the event.
