ROCKHAMPTON JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 18/10/03

STEWARDS PANEL: R Doyle (Chairman), J Wallis, G Wust, D Macklyn

WEATHER – FINE TRACK – GOOD RAIL – TRUE

RACE 1: CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1000M

As D Whitmore was overweight, Stewards permitted him to ride YARPOLE due to no suitable rider being available. D Whitmore was fined the sum of $100.
MY OLD CONSULTANT was slow into stride.
MRS DENVER jumped out at the start making contact with YARPOLE.
After leaving the 900m PICNIC POINT had to be steadied to avoid the heels of RED TESTA, which shifted in.
Trainer A Jenkinson reported to Stewards that RED TESTA returned to the enclosure with lacerations to the off hind.

RACE 2: CLASS 4 1st DIV H'CAP – 1200M

IMA BARON jumped in the air as the gates opened.
NO SHOW had to be steadied to avoid the heels of REGAL TOM, which shifted in at the 650m.

RACE 3: CLASS 4 2nd DIV H'CAP – 1200M

After leaving the 150m ASSIGN had to be steadied to avoid the heels of REGIMENTAL, which shifted out to obtain a clear run.

RACE 4: MAIDEN H'CAP – 1100M

MR FELIX (NZ) jumped out at the start minor contact with WORTHY PRINCE.
OFF WITH THE STARS was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages of the event.

RACE 5: OPEN H'CAP – 1100M

MASTER OF SPEED raced with its head in the in the early stages of the event.
WESTERN PLEASURE was crowded for galloping room at the 700m and 450m when ATHENE’S STAR raced greenly.
ATHENE’S STAR shifted out over concluding stages minor contact with RECORD TIME.

RACE 6: CLASS 1 H'CAP –1300M

C’ON DARBY was crowded for galloping room over the concluding stages when VAIN VYNER (NZ) and RERUN shifted in under pressure.
