ENCOSTING (B Stewart) tended to over race in the early stages of the event.

GENERAL ARTHUR (D Whitmore) tended to over race in the early stages of the race when the pace slackened.
Race 4: CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres
Stewards enquired into the riding tactics on CRAIGLEA QUEEN. Jockey Mitchell Rice stated that he had been instructed by Trainer R McCall to ride the mare just off the pace but when the mare reared and lost ground as the gates opened he was unable to take up a forward position. After straightening when placed under pressure the mare failed to run on as expected.

COMMANDANTE (D Simmons) and OLD GOLD FOR ME (J Stanley) made contact on jumping.

Race 6: CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1100 metres
WHITIORA (S Quick) jumped out at the start making contact with IT’S A RIPA (A Lane) causing that horse to lose ground.
Stewards enquired into an incident that occurred at about the 200 metre mark in which LEMON LIME (D Evans) was inclined to lay in coming into contact with the hind quarters of MISS MIRACLE (T Mathieson) and causing that horse to shift out. LEMON LIME (D Evans) crossed the heels of MISS MIRACLE (T Mathieson) and in doing so took WHITIORA (S Quick) inwards resulting in that horse being checked from the heels of LEMON LIME (D Evans). At the same time Jockey M Rice (SIMULATOR) was angling out for a run and came into contact with WHITIORA (S Quick).
Jockey D Evans was given the benefit of a very grave doubt and issued with a severe reprimand.
Apprentice T Mathieson was issued with a reprimand for failing to put the whip away and straighten her mount.
