The trainer of SALVITAL, David Bauer, lodged a complaint with Stewards regarding the ride by Lacey Morrison after which an inquiry ensued into the run of SALVITAL. Stewards questioned both Trainer D Bauer and L Morrison with regards to the poor performance. L Morrison stated that SALVITAL jumped well but could not muster early speed and in doing so got crowed for galloping room when FIRE ANT (S Quick) shifted in marginally.
