Race 1: CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1500 metres
1st: SEE YOU BABY 2nd: EXPRESS FORCE 3rd: VON RICHTHOFFEN 4th: BON SIMONE
BON SIMONE (C Beets) was slow into stride.
Royal Dibbs (C McIver) raced wide around the first turn.

Race 2: MAIDEN PLATE ( 3yo & Up ) - 1000 metres
1st: DEADLY CLANG 2nd: STARVATION 3rd: COMMUNICATO 4th: PADDY GO EASY
LASTANI (D Whitmore) was slow into stride and raced greenly throughout.
BUSHLEY BEAU (R Mules) hung out on the home turn.
STARVATION (C McIver) shifted out under pressure over the including stages.
SUEGUN (N Coyne) hung out on the first corner.
Jockey Mark Barnham (PAY DAY MISS) was advised to show more vigour over the concluding stages.
CRACKER BARREL (D Evans) was caught wide in the early and middle stages.
LASTANI was treated for heat stress after the event by the vet.

Race 3: CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1100 metres
1st: LIFES FORTUNE 2nd: EL DINO 3rd: ROUGH ENCOUNTER 4th: LETS RECONSIDER
EL DINO (C McIver) was hampered at the start when STANZAS GIFT (D Whitmore) jumped in and PACK OF GOLD (S Quick) jumped outwards.
LORD ERSKINE (G Booth) was slowly away.
When questioned about the poor performance of STANZAS GIFT jockey D Whitmore stated that he had a nice run and when placed under pressure found little.
MY TRUE NORTH (L Timson) over raced in the middle stages and got his head in the air.

Race 4: CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1200 metres
1st: DANATAL 2nd: FIRE ANT 3rd: CROCODILE SMILE 4th: RUN LIKE BLAZES
Prior to the start of the race stewards upgraded the track to dead.
NOVADIER (R Mules) was fractious in the stalls.
DANATAL (D Carrigg) jumped in at the start onto OOLINE (J Stephens). DANATAL shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
Before correct weight was declared Trainer K Smyth asked to see the patrol film. After viewing the film trainer K Smyth decided to go no further.
Also prior to correct weight Jockey L Timson wished to have a look at the photo for third place. After viewing the photo finish Jockey L Timson agreed with the judges decision. Stewards spoke to apprentice Donna Carrigg and was advised to show more care over the concluding stages for allowing her mount to shift out under pressure.

Race 5: SPECIAL CONDITIONS HANDICAP - 1300 metres
1st: SPOOKYS BEACH 2nd: AGAIN A GAIN 3rd: ALL ABOUT CLASS 4th: BRANCH OF GOLD
BOSUN’S PIPER was a late scratching by order of the stewards at 10:10am due to an accident in the hosing stall at Gladstone racecourse.
FILZAO (C McIver) was slow into stride and dipped shortly after jumping.
SPOOKYS BEACH (L Fyfe) jumped out at the start coming in to contact with BRANCH OF GOLD (D Whitmore). SPOOKYS BEACH ran out over the concluding stages.
ALL ABOUT CLASS (G Booth) hung up out over the concluding stages.
AGAIN A GAIN (R Mules) returned to scale with blood in it’s mouth.
