SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Stewards today inquired into the reason why on Thursday, 28TH December 2006, licensed trainer R Vale had an unlabelled substance on his stable premises and had requested, and had another licensed trainer, Ms B Vale; remove that unlabelled substance from his registered stables prior to a steward’s inspection.

R Vale was found guilty to the contravention of AR175 (k) which reads:-

AR175 – The committee of any club or the stewards may punish:
(k) – Any person who has committed any breach of the rules, or whose conduct or negligence has led or could have led to a breach of the rules.

After considering the matter, stewards imposed a fine of $500.00.

R Vale was found guilty to a further charge under AR80 E (1), which reads:

Any person commits an offence if he has in his possession or on his premises any substance or preparation that has not been registered or labelled, or prescribed or obtained, in compliance with the relevant Sate and Commonwealth legislation. R Vale was fined the sum of $500.00.
Stewards permitted Mr Vale three months to pay these fines.

Ms B Vale was found guilty to the contravention of AR175 (p) which reads:

AR175 – The committee of any club or the stewards may punish:
(p) – Any person who fails to comply with any order, direction or requirement of the stewards or any official, in that she failed to adhere to a request from stewards. Ms Vale was fined the sum of $300.00.

Race 1: HAHN SUPER DRY QTIS 2 & 3 YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1000M.
1st – OUR GENERAL 2nd – KEY ALTO 3rd – INNOCENT ENCOUNTER 4th – CASINO CREEPERS

GLENDALE BOY (App C Gilby) which was slow to begin was further hampered by FINE SENSATION (App C McIver) which jumped out at the start.

CASINO CREEPERS (App N Thomas) began awkwardly.

CRAIGLEA COWGIRL (App D Peisley) was tightened for room at the start between STELLA CHIARA (N Evans) which jumped out and FREDA CREEK (M Cant) which jumped in.

FREDA CREEK (M Cant) commenced to race ungenerously leaving the 600m and shifted wider on the track.

CHAMPAGNEBAR (L Timson) was tightened for room near the 200m between FINE SENSATION (App C McIver) which shifted out under pressure and LILY OF THE WEST (S Watkin) which shifted in under pressure.

LILY OF THE WEST (S Watkin) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 2: XXXX GOLD OPEN H’CAP – 1100M.
1st – KOUNELI 2nd – YO KIDOKI 3rd – THAT’S PALEFACE 4th – HELLENIC WARRIOR

CRAIGLEA EMMA (App C McIver) began awkwardly.

YO KIDOKI (App A Coome) had to be steadied off the heels of THAT’S PALEFACE (App T Bannon) which shifted in near the 500m.

On returning to scale a protest was lodged by App T Bannon, the rider of THAT’S PALEFACE, placed third, against second placegetter, YO KIDOKI (App A Coome) for alleged interference near the 80m. A further protest was lodged by App N Thomas, the rider of HELLENIC WARRIOR, placed fourth, against second placegetter, YO KIDOKI (App A Coome) also alleging interference near the 80m. After considering all of the evidence and viewing the stewards patrol film, it was established that YO KIDOKI shifted out leaving the 80m to obtain clear running after being held up brushing THAT’S PALEFACE which inturn shifted out brushing HELLENIC WARRIOR, given the degree and proximity of the interference stewards dismissed both protests and correct weight was given on the numbers as semaphored. At a subsequent inquiry A Coome, the rider of YO KIDOKI, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

A post race veterinary examination of CRAIGLEA EMMA revealed the mare to have a laceration to its off hind hock.


Race 3: CASTLEMAINE PERKINS CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1100M.
1st – DANCING SAILOR 2nd – PRIVATE DODGE 3rd – RELIN AND ROCKING 4th – ONLY A FLING

Both REELIN AND ROCKING (M Cant) and ONLY A FLING (App R Plumb) were slow to begin.

AURAMII (App N Thomas) and FLASHY DIVE (J Stephens) made contact shortly after the start when both horses shifted ground.

CRYSTAL JOE (N Day) had to be steadied approaching the 1000m after becoming awkward on the heels of LYRICAL STYLE (L Timson) which after obtaining the lead steadied the pace, as a result of this, CRYSTAL JOE, shifted out and commenced to over race until near the 600m. L Timson, the rider of LYRICAL STYLE, was reprimanded and advised to show more care in similar circumstances.

AERO LASS (App S Bogenhuber) shifted out near the 300m brushing LYRICAL STYLE (L Timson) which shifted out making contact with DANCING SAILOR (N Evans).

LYRICAL STYLE (L Timson) was held up for clear running from the 300m until near the 100m.
AURAMII (App N Thomas) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 4: XXXX BITTER CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1100M.
1st – PRIMODORO 2nd – PIMPALA ZAR 3rd – HANDY HERO & IRON BRIDGE (DH)

C Beets, who was indisposed, was replaced by L Timson as the rider of PIMPALA ZAR.

J Welburn, who was indisposed, was replaced by J Stephens as the rider of SPEEDEX.

ENDORPHIN (App S Bogenhuber) began awkwardly and shifted out making contact with ELLE’S ANGEL (App A Coome).

MAPPERNIQUE (S Watkin) began awkwardly.

ENDORPHIN (App S Bogenhuber), ELLE’S ANGEL (App A Coome) and IRON BRIDGE (App D Peisley) all raced wide for the majority of the race.

HOLLY BUSH HONEY (App T Bannon) had a tendency to lay out leaving the 500m and near the 400m became unbalanced and shifted out making contact with PIMPALA ZAR (L Timson).

ENDORPHIN (App S Bogenhuber) shifted out near the 400m making contact with IRON BRIDGE (App D Peisley).

PRIMODORO (D Evans) shifted out under pressure over the final 100m.

Race 5: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M.
1st – HUTCHIE 2nd – ROYAL MOA 3rd – MUTHAIGA CLUB 4th – SORROW

J Welburn, who was indisposed, was replaced by R Mules as the rider of MISS PEBBLES.

MISS PEBBLES (R Mules) pushed its barrier gates open prior to the start and was quickly restrained and reloaded.
SORROW (App A Coome) was slow to begin.

ALCHRISONTEE (S Watkin) jumped in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.

FRACTURED (App C McIver) began awkwardly.

MUTHAIGA CLUB (N Day) jumped out at the start making contact with LADY SHABANG (J Stephens).

MUTHAIGA CLUB (N Day) shifted in under pressure near the 100m causing SORROW (App A Coome) to shift in momentarily hampering MOBILIZE (D Craven). N Day, the rider of MUTHAIGA CLUB, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

BLUE TOM (M Barnham) and HEZAHERO (W Morris) both race wide for the majority of the race.

A post race veterinary inspection of MISS PEBBLES revealed the mare to have ruptured ligaments in its near hind stifle. As a result of injuries suffered, MISS PEBBLES was euthanized on humane grounds.

Race 6: TED PLATINUM CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1300M.
1st – SUPADIVA 2nd – TRUSS 3rd – JUMPIN’ JARED 4th – ROLE OF NED

TRUSS (App N Thomas) was slow to begin.

ROLE OF NED (App S Bogenhuber) which was unable to obtain clear running near the 300m until leaving the 200m, and had to be restrained near the 100m to avoid the heels of TRUSS (App N Thomas) which shifted in under pressure. Apprentice N Thomas, the rider of TRUSS, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

On returning to scale a protest was lodged by App N Thomas, the rider of TRUSS, placed second, against first placegetter, SUPADIVA (N Evans) for alleged interference over the concluding stages. After considering all of the evidence and viewing the stewards patrol film, it was established that SUPADIVA shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages brushing TRUSS which shifted in slightly, given the degree and proximity of the interference stewards dismissed the protest and correct weight was given on the numbers as semaphored.

CEE JAY TEE (App A Coome) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 7: TOOHEYS EXTRA DRY CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1300M.
1st – TORREQUEBRADDA 2nd – ZARIZITIZ 3rd – TOONAK 4th – CASH ‘N’ GO

J Welburn, who was indisposed, was replaced by N Evans, as the rider of ADELONG.

ADELONG (N Evans) stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground.

KAPPERINA (S Watkin) jumped out at the start making contact with CASH ‘N’ GO (L Timson)

COBBI LAD (App S Bogenhuber) jumped out at the start making contact with EMPIRE ROAD (S Quick) which inturn shifted out making contact with ZARIZITIZ (N Day).

TOONAK (App C Gilby) shifted out to obtain clear running leaving the 200m making contact with ZARIZITIZ (N Day) which shifted out momentarily hampering DEVARAJA JOE (G Booth) which was tiring.

Race 8: HEINEKEN CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1400M.
1st – DOUBLE RUM 2nd – GOLD RIMU 3rd – PACIFIC SEA 4th – IN JEOPARDY

C Beets, who was indisposed, was replaced by L Timson, as the rider of DOUBLE RUM.

J Welburn, who was indisposed, was replaced by S Quick, as the rider of SANDLINE.

FRISCO BOY (M Cant) was slow to begin.

SANDLINE (S Quick) began awkwardly and shifted out making contact with STRATEGIC WIN (App A Coome). Shortly after STRATEGIC WIN was further inconvenienced by IN JEOPARDY (N Day) which shifted in making heavy contact with STRATEGIC WIN which as a result shifted in making contact with SANDLINE which inturn shifted in hampering GOOD OPINION (N Evans).

DASHING DANE (S Watkin) was tightened for room between IN JEOPARDY (N Day) and DOUBLE RUM (L Timson) which shifted out.
