SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Race 1: PIRANHA INSURANCE BROKERS PTY LTD CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1600M:
1st – Craiglea Symphony 2nd – Guilty Conscience 3rd – Delago Money 4th – Sixty Minutes
As M. O’Connell was to be overweight N. Patchett was substituted as the rider of EIGHTHDAN. M. O’Connell pleaded guilty to a charge under AR118C(c) in that he failed to weigh out with an approved safety vest. M. O’Connell was fined the sum of $500.
EIGHTHDAN (N. Patchett) was slow to begin.
At the start LA PIAZZA (N. Evans) and EIGHT BALL (G. Baker) were tightened for room between BIRDELLA (J. Bowditch) and SIXTY MINUTES (D. Masdil) both of which shifted ground.
HOUSE OF FUN (T. Pannell) jumped in the air at the start.
LA PIAZZA (N. Evans) and EIGHT BALL (G. Baker) both over raced during the middle stages.
SIXTY MINUTES (D. Masdil) and DELAGO MONEY (App L. Dillon) were both inclined to lay out under pressure rounding the home turn.
Near the 300m SIXTY MINUTES (D. Masdil) shifted out under pressure resulting in AIR WAVES (D. Simmons) and EIGHT BALL (G. Baker) to be inconvenienced.
AIR WAVES (D. Simmons) raced wide for the majority of the event.
Leaving the 600m EIGHT BALL (G. Baker) shifted out to improve and in doing so forced LUMIERE D’ETOILE (T. Bannon) wider.
Race 2: BEST DOORS QTIS TWO YEAR OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000M:
1st – Ima Cool Dude 2nd – Craiglea Apollo 3rd – Craiglea Bella 4th – Fine Shakira
T. Pannell replaced L. Dillon as the rider of FINE SHAKIRA as L. Dillon was dually engaged. L. Dillon and his master L. Rowe were interviewed in relation to the dual engagement. After taking evidence stewards adjourned the matter to obtain evidence from trainer Mr. D. Bagnall.
FINE SHAKIRA (T. Pannell), WOODEN EYE JOE (C. Whiteley), CRAIGLEA HUMMER (M. Speers) and POWER’N’PASSION (App L. Dillon) were all slow to begin.
Approaching the 800m MAESERA (D. Masdil) and LYNNDELL’S LAD (J. Stephens) came together and brushed.
Near the 500m IMA COOL DUDE (C. Beets) shifted ground outwards and bumped CRAIGLEA APOLLO (App A. Coome).
LYNNDELL’S LAD (J. Stephens) raced greenly over the final 300m.
Approaching the finish TIA JANESSE (D. Simmons) had to be steadied off the heels of FINE SHAKIRA (T. Pannell) which shifted out under pressure.
Race 3: WILPEENA CATTLE CO MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300M:
1st – Geomar 2nd – Seventeen Black 3rd – Blue Bayou 4th – Puro Sangue
BANDOLIER (J. Bowditch) which was fractious in the barriers was examined by the club’s veterinarian surgeon and passed fit to start.
DASHINGDESLEY (D. Masdil), TAYANSO (T. Pannell) and SYBIL’S WAY (N. Patchett) were all slow to begin.
Near the 800m SYBIL’S WAY (N. Patchett) was tightened for room and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of GEOMAR (D. Griffin) which shifted in and away from BLUE BAYOU (G. Baker).
Approaching the 300m GEOMAR (D. Griffin) was tightened for room by BLUE BAYOU (G. Baker) which shifted in to obtain clear running.
Near the 200m SHOVELLE (T. Dicey) shifted out under pressure inconveniencing HOWDYALIKEMENOE (K. Pedron) and TAYANSO (T. Pannell).
TOWER BRIDGE (M. Speers) raced wide throughout.
Race 4: SWEENEY MEDIA & RESEARCH MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100M:
1st – Kylie’s Star 2nd – Ice Cream Charlie 3rd – Iriana Lad 4th – Gol
MOANSHEE STAR (D. Simmons) began awkwardly resulting in D. Simmons becoming dislodged.
At the start GEE EYES REIGN (D. Masdil) and DUBAI CELEBRATION (M. Speers) came together and brushed.
FEATHERSWILLFLY (N. Evans) slow to begin.
Near the 850m, OUTER ROCK (L. Dillon) and KYLIE’S STAR (A. Coome) were tightened for room when racing to the inside of KISLARNI (N. Patchett) which shifted in and away from EMPAULOC (T. Bannon).
Near the 200m KISLARNI (N. Patchett) broke down in the near fore leg and was retired from the event. KISLARNI was euthanised on human grounds.
MONASHEE DEVIL (R. Hall), PRAIRIE KING (C. Whiteley) and GOL (G. Baker) all raced wide throughout.
Race 5: NICK HOWELL’S TURNING 70 OPEN HANDICAP 1000M:
1st – Danwana 2nd – King Cash 3rd – Danzamonkey 4th – My Charlie
YUKON LAD (M. O’Connell) jumped away awkwardly.
KING CASH (C. Whiteley) was slow to begin.
VULCAN (D. Missen) raced wide for the majority of the event.
RACE 6: BRYANT’S BUILDING SUPPLIES CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1000M:
1st – Stipulation 2nd – Arhondas 3rd – Aunty Flo 4th – Soundslikejazz
M. Bannon the trainer of STIPULATION was reminded of his obligations to wear the appropriate footwear whilst attending his horse.
AUNTY FLO (G. Baker) was slow to begin.
SOUNDSLIKEJAZZ (C. Whiteley) and AUNTY FLO (G. Baker) were both held up for clear running from near the 300m until passing the 200m.
RACE 7: REALWAY PROPERTY CONSULTANTS CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1200M:
1st – The Plate 2nd – Massiah 3rd – Pelennium 4th – Bundanoon
BIRRONG (N. Patchett) began awkwardly.
BUNDANOON (A. Come) was slow to begin.
Near the 300m, ME HERE (D Missen) shifted in making contact with SNIFTER (J. Bowditch).
GO THE RED (L. Dillon) and ME HERE (D. Missen) was held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
BUNDANOON (A. Coome) had difficulty obtaining clear running from near the 400m until approaching the 100m.
RACE 8: DUNBAR BLOODSTOCK CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200M:
1st – Hedarny 2nd – Cannyclimb 3rd – Molly Be Smart 4th – Mighty Malouver
WINONA BRAVE (R. Hall) was slow to begin.
At the start BLAZING HEART (C. Beets) was tightened for room between HEDARNY (G. Baker) and CANNYCLIMB (App L. Dillon).
DEXTRUS (C. Whiteley) was inclined to lay in for the majority of the event.
Near the 750m FAUNIUS (M. O’ Connell) and SYLVAN DALE (A. Coome) came together and bumped.
KAI ANNA (J. Bowditch) and CANNYCLIMB (L. Dillon) bumped on a number of occasions between the 400m and 200m.
Leaving the 200m, FAUNIUS (M. O’Connell) shifted in tightening DEXTRUS (C. Whiteley).
SYLVAN DALE (A. Coome) and BLAZING HEART (C. Beets) raced wide for the majority of the event.
