Stewards took into consideration Jockey Sheargold's forthright admission at the first available opportunity, that this was his first offence of this nature, the circumstances in which the comment was made and also that the comment was of a racial nature, by a senior rider to an apprentice and the area where the incident took place, stewards advised Jockey Sheargold that such comments cannot be condoned in the sport of racing.
