LATE RIDING CHANGES:

As Jockey R. McMahon and App. B. Appo failed to arrive on course by the prescribed time, and App S Fawke was delayed for Race 1 due to transport difficulties, substitutions were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: XXXX Gold Maiden Handicap – 1100m
1st GOIN' CRAZY 2nd PICAPUB 3rd SISTER KATIE 4th - COOLOWIE

CRAIGLEA JASMINE (R. Faehr) was slow to begin and then was further hampered when MOONMERA (S. McGovern) shifted in.

COOLOWIE (L. Dillon) was slow into stride.

SISTER KATIE (T. O'Hara) was slow to begin.

Near the 800 metres COOLOWIE (L. Dillon) shifted out to avoid the heels of MIGHTY SAVANNAH (App. J. Orman).

From the 200 metres MOONMERA laid out under pressure.

MOONMERA raced wide throughout the event.

Following the race it was observed that both STRATOLOGY (App. R. Payne) and PICAPUB (D. Evans) had both bled for the first time. Trainers J. Rundle and C. Howell were advised that, as this was the first time their respective horses had bled, they will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A and then only after galloping over at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.

Stewards sought an explanation from Jockey T. O'Hara regarding SISTER KATIE leading today, contrary to its previous start. Jockey O'Hara stated that the filly had been able to lead in its trial, although at its most recent race start it had been slow to begin. Jockey O'Hara said that after being slow to begin today she pressured the filly to go forward and when caught wide assumed the lead, though it had not been her intention to do so.

Race 2: Bacardi Lion QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap - 1200m
1st COURT LANE 2nd STYLISH LUCK 3rd GOLDEN MAR 4th - AYBESEE

At the start LALITA (L. Dillon) was tightened for room between COURT LANE (T. O'Hara) and MADAM PINK (B. El-Issa), both of which shifted ground.

GOLDEN MAR (App. J. Orman) was slow into stride.

CURLEY GREY (D. Missen) was slow to begin.

Leaving the 900 metres BEST HURRAH (D. Hayse) over-raced and had to be eased from the heels of CRAIGLEA MISSION.

Near the 900 metres MADAM PINK, which was awkwardly placed on the heels of CRAIGLEA CHANEL (R. Faehr), shifted ground, was steadied from the heels of BEST HURRAH and lost some ground.

In the middle stages STYLISH LUCK (App. M. McGillivray) raced wide.

Near the 200 metres MADAM PINK commenced to weaken when placed under pressure, shifted out and away from the heels of CRAIGLEA MISSION, and inside the 100 metres became unbalanced when tightened between CRAIGLEA MISSION and BEST HURRAH.

AYBESEE (J. P. Stanley) raced 3-wide throughout.

Stewards sought an explanation from Jockey D. Missen regarding the performance of CURLEY GREY. Jockey Missen could offer no tangible reason for the gelding's poor performance. Jockey Missen said that CURLEY GREY failed to travel well in the early stages and he allowed the gelding to balance up in the middle stages but when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding.

Race 3: On Site Fleet Maintenance Handicap – 1400m
1st BRILLANCONI 2nd KLITSCHKO 3rd EQUABLE 4th - DIRECT DEBIT

In the early stages MAFIA PRINCESS (T. O'Hara) over-raced.

SCHRAPNEL GULLY (C-M. Pye) bled during running. Trainer T. Cook was advised that, as this was the first time the gelding had bled, it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after a satisfactory gallop over at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.

Stewards inquired into an incident that occurred near the 1200 metres. After taking evidence from the riders involved and observing the official patrol videos, stewards advised Jockey C Pye, the rider of SCHRAPNEL GULLY, and Jockey B. El-Issa, the rider of BRILLANCONI, to exercise more care in similar circumstances. In this incident BRILLANCONI and SCHRAPNEL GULLY both shifted in marginally and caused MAFIA PRINCESS, which had been over-racing and raced ungenerously at this stage, to be tightened for room and taken in onto DIRECT DEBIT, resulting in CHINRUB (J. P. Stanley) having to check and lose ground. Stewards were of the opinion that the major contributor to the interference was the racing manners of MAFIA PRINCESS. Nevertheless they were not able to attribute sole responsibility for the incident to any one rider.

Race 4: Kalka Palms Hotel/Motel BM60 Handicap -1500m
1st MAGIC WALTZ 2nd SUPPOSING 3rd DOREBOY 4th - ZEROCITY

On jumping SUPPOSING (D. Missen) jumped in onto FEROCITY BLUE (D. Hayse).

Jockey El-Issa said that he had been forced to place the gelding under pressure throughout the early stages to maintain the horse's position in the field. Jockey El-Issa added that CONTROL AGENT raced flat and in his opinion may have been feeling the effects of a long preparation. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer J. Pointon confirmed that CONTROL AGENT will now be sent for a spell.

YOU DONE IT AGAIN (App. M. McGillivray) raced 3-wide throughout. Trainer C Garland reported that connections would give consideration to retiring the mare.

A post-race veterinary examination of ALOTTA MOJO revealed that the gelding had aggravated a pre-existing injury to its near fore fetlock.

Following the race Jockey C-M. Pye reported that PRINCELY did not race comfortably in the early stages and in her opinion failed to sprint as usual when placed under pressure in the home straight.

Race 7: Summer Bright Class 2 Handicap – 1100m
1st CUMANI 2nd BROWN DOUBT 3rd SHOW US THE WAY 4th - LET IT SNOW

McGillivray), which was taken out onto HEAD HIGH (J. Missen). Shortly after this CUMANI shifted out and away from ZABOMB (App. R.
