Race 1: XXXX Gold Class 6 Plate - 1300 metres

NEDIYM'S QUEST - When Jockey A. Coome was to be overweight Jockey D. Evans was substituted as the rider. Jockey Coome was fined $200 under A.R. 120(b).
Slow to begin, threw its head in the air and raced fiercely in the early stages.
A FINE DROP OF RED - Stewards questioned trainer J. Manzelmann with regard to the scratching of the mare. He explained that the horse had pulled a muscle in its off hind leg. Mr Manzelmann was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance for the mare within the next 48 hours.
KATHERINE GORGE - Slow to begin.
TOP GLORY - Stewards questioned the rider regarding an incident that occurred near the 400 metres. She stated that her mount raced on level terms with MINTARO (B. Stewart) but she was not in a position to hold her racing line outside MINTARO. Stewards established that when no clear run was available for MINTARO, Jockey B Stewart shifted out and made contact with TOP GLORY, then shifted out for a further two strides taking that horse wider and obtained clear running. After the incident TOP GLORY was inclined to lay in until near the 200 metres. Whilst stewards were mindful of the circumstances, nevertheless they advised Jockey Stewart to exercise more care when shifting ground.
Race 2: Inferno Sports Class 4 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st CECCUZZI 2nd RISHONA 3rd STORMWOOD 4th - STRATEGIC GLORY
ABOVE US - Trainer questioned regarding the horse's scratching, stated that the gelding had accepted for a start on Friday last however the race was abandoned. He added that he had intended to start ABOVE US today, however as the horse had not performed well in its preparation he will now send it for a spell.
STORMWOOD - Began awkwardly. Leaving the 200 metres rolled in and made contact with another runner.
RISHONA - Rolled in leaving the 200 metres and made contact with another runner.
Race 3: Sweet As Boutique Class 3 Plate - 1800 metres
1st CROCKETT'S MISTAKE 2nd ONLY ONE ANNIE 3rd IOWNAPRINCE 4th - MURRAMARANG
EUPHONIUM - Slow to begin.
TWICE THE PRICE - Slow to begin.
MURRAMARANG - Near the 1200 metres laid out, raced ungenerously for a short distance and lost some ground.
Race 4: Cancer Council Queensland C,G&E Class 1 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st FROM THE DARKNESS 2nd BARBOUGE 3rd DESTINO STRADA 4th - MONTANA HERO
The start was delayed when GO SAI reared in the barriers. The gelding was removed from the barriers, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. INCOMING CALL, which occupied the adjoining barrier was also removed, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.
DEEP CREEK FLYER - Shortly after the start commenced to buck and lost significant ground. Trainer was advised that the gelding must perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial before being permitted to race again.
MONTANA HERO - Was a little slow to begin. Near the 200 metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner, which shifted out under pressure.
MIGHTY SAVANNAH - Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from heat stress. Trainer J Poots stated that the horse would now be spelled.
DAM FLASH - Raced wide throughout.
Race 5: Summer Bright Fillies & Mares Class 1 Handicap- 1200 metres
1st MISS NOTE 2nd EPICOZ 3rd ROSELLA EAGLE 4th - CHEEKY EXPRESS
Prior to the race public announcements were made advising patrons that on Friday 24th October 2014 at Rockhampton SHE'S GOT BEAUTY had finished 2nd, beaten 3/4 length in a Class 2 Handicap over 1050 metres.
MAMSELLE CORDAY - The start was delayed initially when the bridle was replaced. Public announcement made to this effect. Further delay to allow for the broadcast of an interstate event. Began awkwardly and dipped, then raced wide throughout.
BEST BO – Bled from both nostrils. Trainer B. Dixon was advised that, as this was the first occasion on which the mare had bled, it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after galloping satisfactorily over at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.
ROSELLA EAGLE - Was a little slow to begin.
MISS NOTE - Trainer questioned regarding seemingly improved performance, stated that the mare produced a forward showing at Thangool at its most recent start, and its grass form was much better than its form on sand or dirt surfaces.
Race 6: Barcardi Oakheart F&M Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st LUCIFER'S ANGEL 2nd PRIMED FOR DESTINY 3rd SUNDAY SAGA 4th - BREATH OF TERA
COSTA BUNDLE - When trainer A. Stephens made application to add more packing to the saddle of the mare, stewards acceded to this application and permitted App. Williams to claim 2kg of her allowance. Approaching the 600 metres rolled in, resulting in another runner having to be steadied. Trainer reported that the hind legs of the mare had been galloped on.
PRIMED FOR DESTINY - Slow to begin. Had to be steadied approaching the 600 metres.
SUNDAY SAGA - Had to be re-saddled and delayed the start.
IF ONLY THEY KNEW - Raced wide throughout.
MINI MINX - On returning to scale trainer C. Garland reported that the mare may not have appreciated the firm track surface or the long straight. He added that the rider had reported that the mare failed to stretch over the last 100 metres.
Race 7: Toohey’s Extra Dry QTIS 3YO Handicap - 1200 metres
1st HELAROCITY 2nd QUICK ASSAULT 3rd RAZANDIES JESTER 4th - CLAPPERS
LITTLE WHITE DOVE - Was a little slow to begin. Rider reported that the filly lost its off fore plate in running.
CLAPPERS - Approaching the 900 metres improved to the inside of another runner, was reluctant to hold its position and raced ungenerously. Bumped and taken wider at the 700 metres.
HELAROCITY - At the 700 metres raced keenly on heels and when steadied shifted out slightly and made contact with another runner.
STYLISH LUCK - Bumped at the 700 metres. Raced wide throughout.
