SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

As D McMaster was injured and not riding at the meeting, she was replaced as the rider of ROYAL ROCKET in race 3 by J McKinnon.

From Wandoan 17-3-12

Jockey C Maund was reprimanded for striking his mount STALWART PETRA (race 2) with the whip in the forehand manner on 6 occasions prior to the 100m.

Jockey A Lane was fined $200 for striking his mount TALKING NONSENSE (Race 5) with the whip in a forehand on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. In assessing penalty Stewards were mindful of jockey Lane’s good record in relation to whip related offences.

Jockey C Bryen was fined $200 for striking his mount ANNETTE’S PUMPKIN (Race 4) with the whip in a forehand on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. In assessing penalty Stewards were mindful of jockey Bryen’s good record in relation to whip related offences.



RACE 1: WILLIAMS HALL CHADWICK QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M-
1st-Crystal Mates 2nd-Zipolite 3rd-Pedernales 4th-Blue Iris


ROCK SENS (T Serjeant) reared as the start was effected losing considerable ground.

BLUE IRIS (A Taylor) began awkwardly and shifted in.

COUNT SPUR (B Floyd) hung out during the early and middle stages of the event.

MORE COINS (A Fancourt) hung out throughout resulting in its rider being unable to fully test the colt in the run to the finish. Trainer’s representative Mr J Ferguson was advised that a waring would be issued against MORE COINS.

Jockey A Lane reported that the saddle on AUTOVON shifted to the near side near the 400m which resulted in him being unable to fully test the gelding in the home straight.

ROCK SENS was forced wider on the track near the 100m when VANGAURD (S Egan) shifted out to obtain clear running. App Egan was advised to exercise greater care in future when shifting ground.

RACE 2: RBS MORGANS CLASS 6 PLATE 1000M-
1ST-Playful Paris 2nd-Prince of Monaco 3rd-Choral 4th-Noosa Bay

CHOSEN KING (W Doyle) commenced to buck shortly after the start resulting in jockey W Doyle being dislodged. Trainer R Frazer was advised that CHOSEN KING will be required to perform satisfactorily in a jump out prior to it next racing.

As jockey W Doyle sustained an injury to his left elbow after being dislodged he was stood down from his remaining engagements. Jockey Doyle was advised that he will be required to obtain a Medical Certificate prior to next riding.

REGGIE’S HALO (S Egan) was tightened for room at the start between PRINCE OF MONACO (T Serjeant) and SHAKES (C Maund) both of which shifted ground.

CHORAL (N Ogura) raced wide without cover throughout.


RACE 3: STATHAM CHEESMAN CLASS B H’CAP 1000M-
1ST-Talking Nonsense 2nd-Craiglea Stellar 3rd-What Do You Want 4th-Declare

BALLARD BOY (L McCoy) took charge of its rider during the preliminary and galloped a considerable distance before being restrained.

ROYAL ROCKET (J McKinnon) was tightened for room at the start between DECLARE (D Rewald) and BALLARD BOY which jumped out.

DESERT PLAYBOY (T Serjeant) was hampered at the start by TALKING NONSENSE (A Lane) which jumped out.

CRAIGLEA STELLAR (B Floyd) was momentarily held up and unable to improve when endeavouring to obtain clear running approaching the home turn near the 300m.


RACE 4: CARLTON MID OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Emmertt 2nd-Agent Blue 3rd-Dancefloor Prodigy 4th-Rattle ‘n’ Run

As W Doyle was stood down following race 2, he was replaced as the rider of LUCKY DUKE by apprentice S McCullum as there was no other senior rider available to ride LUCKY DUKE at its allotted weight.

HARFORD STREET (J McKinnon) stood flat footed at the start losing considerable ground. Trainer M Goodwin was advised that due to the poor record of HARFORD STREET in relation to barrier related offences, that gelding will be required to officially barrier trial of 3 occasions to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing. Mr Goodwin was further advised that should HARFORD STREET reoffend once permitted to race again, then consideration would be given by Stewards to place a lifetime ban on HARFORD STREET.

DANCEFLOOR PRODIGY (A Lane) was slow to begin.

CASH IN A HURRY (C Maund), FRISCO LIGHTS (T Serjeant) and LUCKY DUKE (S McCullum) all raced wide throughout.


RACE 5: NJ CONTRACTING CLASS 3 H’CAP 1200M-
1ST-Alphonse 2nd-Regal Prince 3rd-Al Dente 4th-Angel From Above

As W Doyle was stood down following race 2, he was replaced as the rider of TESTIMONIANZA by apprentice T Serjeant as there was no other senior rider available to ride TESTIMONIANZA at its allotted weight.

ZI MUSIC (L McCoy) was slow to begin.

CRAIGLEA GAL (B Floyd) raced wide throughout.
