Race 1:
ASTRO NASCENTE fractious in the gates and then reared very high as the gates were released, and lost considerable ground. Trainer M Goodwin was advised that a warning would be placed against the colt.
Race 2:
JUNCTION SPUR was crowded on jumping by OUR YOUNG LASS. JUNCTION SPUR was then slow to muster speed.
D McIntosh (PERFECT PUZZLE) was reminded of his obligations regarding his use of the whip.
Race 3: .
WHAT A TYCOON was fractious in the barriers, and then reared as the gates were released.
PRIVZERO hung out badly from the 600m and raced towards the centre of the track. Trainer C Smith was advised a warning would be placed against the gelding.
Race 4:
FLAGFLAMENCO reared as the gates were released and lost ground.
SCHWEIZ pulled up quickly passed the post and was found to be significantly lame. As a result it’s rider was unable to be weighed in and correct declared under AR144. Post Race vet exam revealed a significant tendon injury to the off foreleg. Trainer C Prow was advised the colt will require a veterinary certificate of fitness before racing again.
Race 5:
I’LL RULE was slow to begin.
