STEWARDS REPORT

WEATHER: Fine
TRACK RATING: Dead \ Good.
Moveable rail out 7 metres for the entire circumference.

RACE 1
FAVOURITES FUNCTION CENTRE HANDICAP 850 metres

Acting on Veterinary advise SOUND CASH, which became fractious in the barriers, was declared a late scratching at 11.46am.
On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on SOUND CASH were ordered to be refunded and deductions of 6c in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 7c in the dollar on the face value of place bets were applicable on all wagers placed prior to 11.46am.
Trainer L. Gray was advised that a further barrier certificate would be required for SOUND CASH prior to its next race start.
G. Baker rider of IMPERIAL JESTER reported that he lost the right iron at the start placing him at a disadvantage for some distance.
MEGAMARKS jumped away awkwardly.
After leaving the 800 metres ROMAN SLAVE was inclined to lay out forcing PERSONAL CHOICE out on to MEGAMARKS.
PERSONAL CHOICE then continued to shift out causing TRAVESTON CROSSING to be steadied.
Near the 500 metres TRAVESTON CROSSING had to be steadied off the heels of ROMAN SLAVE which shifted in when racing greenly.
Approaching the 100 metres IMPERIAL JESTER shifted out to improve and brushed BLUE JET.



RACE 2
CHAMPAGNE GARDEN HANDICAP 850 metres

Jockey G. Colless reported that he retired REGAL NOBILITY from the event shortly after the start as he felt something was amiss with the filly.
A Veterinary examination of REGAL NOBILITY revealed the filly had injured its near side stifle. Trainer S. Trevitt was advised a Veterinary Certificate would be required for REGAL NOBILITY prior to its next race start.
Approaching the 700 metres CANADIAN BELLE was inclined to lay out.
At the 500 metres CANADIAN BELLE improved up on to the heels of CONQUIAN which had to be steadied.

RACE 3
COPPER KINGDOM LOUNGE HANDICAP 1300 metres

FULLY IMPORTED was slow to begin.
FLYING EMAC shifted out making the home turn and made contact with ROSE OF JERICHO.
A post race Veterinary examination of ALLEZ RIVAGE revealed the filly appeared to be suffering from a colic attack. Trainer V. P. Sutherland was advised a Veterinary Certificate would be required for ALLEZ RIVAGE prior to its next race start.


RACE 4
FURLONG CLUB HANDICAP 1300 metres

Trainer R. Lipp was fined the sum of $25 for presenting WOODWORKER in the enclosure with blinkers.
DELTA PRINCE and AL PARLAY were both slow to begin.
FANDANGLES and AIM OF LIFE brushed on jumping away.
Shortly after straightening OVER SUBSCRIBED had to be steadied off the heels of GOLD RIDGE which shifted out to improve.
Passing the 200 metres ROYAL SOLITAIRE was disappointed for a narrow run between AIM OF LIFE and PARIS TRIUMPH.


Following the running of race 4 the track rating was upgraded to Good.


RACE 5
MOOLOOLAH HANDICAP 1000 metres

As S. Galloway was indisposed he was replaced on SPIRITED GIRL by M. Pelling.
Following a confirmed telephone call from trainer T. Thomas BOY'S AFFAIR was declared a late scratching at 11.30am.
MA HELLEQUIN was slow to begin.
SEAHAWK ALFA shifted in at the start and made contact with the hind quarters of LANCER'S TREAT.
A post race Veterinary inspection of SEAHAWK ALFA revealed the filly had received a deep cut to the off hind cannon during the event.


RACE 6
BEERWAH HANDICAP 1000 metres

Prior to the event EAGER HERO was inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start.
PAY THE GOLD and MAGIC JACK were both slow to begin.
STRODA jumped away awkwardly.
JUST STYLE was hampered on jumping away between EL CARGO and OUR BERNIE both of which shifted ground.

RACE 7
PALMWOODS HANDICAP 1200 metres

BUSH DEAL was slow to begin.
On jumping away HIMALAYA FALCON was tightened for room between MIGHTY PAYGO and TRUE BLUE KINGDOM both of which shifted ground.
Rounding the home turn RINNCEOIR DONN shifted in and brushed the running rail.


RACE 8
NAMBOUR HANDICAP 1600 metres

When the pace eased passing the 1300 metres LA SCOLIERA had to be steadied off the heels of EXCLUSIVE RING.
Approaching the 1200 metres STORM DANCER shifted out and brushed CHIMES TIME which shifted out and had to be steadied off the heels CHARIOT'S AYLA.
Making the 800 metres turn VIBRATIONS was tightened for room between ALLITINSK and SWINDLER which shifted in slightly.
Passing the 600 metres VIBRATIONS had to be steadied off the heels of CHIMES TIME.
LA SCOLIERA was disappointed for a run for some distance after entering the straight.


RACE 9
MONTVILLE HANDICAP 1600 metres

RICH AND FAMOUS and GRAPPELLI came together on jumping away.
Passing the 1200 metres VATULELE had to be steadied when tightened for room between REGARDING and GRAPPELLI, both of which shifted ground.




All winners plus FOREMAN ALI (Race 6) were swabbed.
