GENERAL: As jockey N. Jolly was indisposed he was replaced on the following:
Race 1 RUDD PARK K. Pope
Race 3 CLEAR FINISH S. Katsidis
Race 4 FORCED ASHORE S. Seamer
Race 6 OUR SILVER LINING K. Pope
Due to an office error M. Lister was not listed in the racebook as the rider of FITFUL DREAMS (Race 3) and ROCKLEA KING (Race 8).
RACE 1
SAHARA LODGE HANDICAP 1000 metres
DONBRODI was slow to begin.
RUDD PARK was hampered on jumping away between POETIC GARDEN and CERTIFICATION both of which shifted ground.
ANNAZAR was inclined to lay out in the early and middle stages of the event and approaching the 700 metres shifted out and brushed FLIRT A LITTLE.
ANNAZAR continued to lay out and making the home turn shifted out and made contact with the hind quarters of CRYSTELLA.
RACE 2
BIG COUNTRY MEATS HANDICAP 1000 metres
After jumping away awkwardly AKKHBAR was forced to race wide for the remainder of the event.
DROP ZONE was slow to begin.
After being slow to begin LANNON was hampered between SAHARA SNAADEE and BIG TIMER both of which shifted ground.
Approaching the 600 metres DROP ZONE shifted out taking LANNON out on to SAHARA SNAADEE.
Leaving the 500 metres RIGIL KENT had to be steadied to avoid the heels of SAHARA SNAADEE which shifted in. A short distance later SAHARA SNAADEE shifted in and made heavy contact with the running rail.
RACE 3
SAHARA LODGE HANDICAP 1000 metres
SPARKLET was slow to begin.
FITFUL DREAMS jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

When the pace slackened near the 700 metres SPARKLET had to be steadied off the heels of GRACE KAY and continued to do so for some distance.
RACE 4
BUDERIM COFFEE COMPANY HANDICAP 1200 metres
When being steadied off the heels of PARIS TRIUMPH leaving the 1000 metres CHARIOT'S BELLE over reacted, shifted out and made contact with SHEER EDGE
RACE 5
JACK GOWEN OF SAHARA LODGE HANDICAP 1800 metres
SEAWELL over raced in the early and middle stages of the event.
Making the 800 metres turn CORKER which was also over racing, shifted out taking SEAWELL wider on the track.
RACE 6
BUTLER, MCDERMOTT & EGAN HANDICAP 1000 metres
After being a little slow to begin LITTLE SHOES was hampered shortly after the start by PARAM which was taken out by PALOOKA.
RACE 7
SAHARA LODGE HANDICAP 1000 metres
A post race Veterinary examination of APSARAS revealed the mare had pulled up lame in the off hind leg however at the conclusion of the race meeting APSARAS suffered a suspected major cardiac arterial haemorrhage and subsequently died.
RACE 8
NEIL MANSELL LANDSCAPE SUPPLIES HANDICAP 1800 metres
As F. Nightingale was indisposed he was replaced on BILLY BE COOL by C. Reith.
The start was delayed when ROCKLEA KING proved difficult to load. Trainer Dale Sutton was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding relative to its barrier manners.
EPHESUS and JACK'S DREAM were both slow to begin.
FRENCH MOVIE STAR began to pull hard after leaving the 1600 metres and after passing the 1300 metres had to be steadied off the heels of STRIKE FOREVER.
Making the home turn STRIKE FOREVER which was tiring, shifted in momentarily tightening DEREV on to the running rail.
All winners were swabbed.
