Race 1: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT TWO YEARS OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP - 850M.
1st - Forest Whispers 2nd - Miss Hawkins 3rd - Takarazuka 4th - Kalinga Regal
After jumping away awkwardly MISS HAWKINS shifted in and made contact with TAKARAZUKA.
Passing the 500 metres MISS HAWKINS which was racing greenly, was inclined to hang in and had to be steadied off the heels of FOREST WHISPER.
Race 2: JWP CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1400M.
1st - Zariban 2nd - Diocles 3rd - Power Pacific
No racing incidents.
Race 3: PLACE MAT KITCHENWARE CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1000M.
1st - Rubi D'Amour 2nd - Miss Da Nang 3rd - Sherman Oaks 4th - Cadillac Dream
CADILLAC DREAM shifted in on jumping and made contact with RUBI D'AMOUR.
Near the 300 metres MISS DA NANG was tightened for room between RUBI D'AMOUR and CADILLAC DREAM which shifted out when tiring.
Race 4: XXXX GOLD CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1200M.
1st - Gold Victory 2nd - Thunderclouds 3rd - Bloomin Perfect 4th - Tent
Jockey L Appo was fined the sum of $100 for failing to take his ride on VALID REASON due to being overweight. As there was no senior rider available Stewards gave permission for apprentice Angie Williams to ride that gelding.
VALID REASON was slow to begin.
BLOOMIN PERFECT shifted out at the start taking THUNDERCLOUDS out on to TENT which was slow to begin.
RAYMONDS REWARD was inclined to over race in the early stages and was forced to race wide from the 800 metres until after entering the straight.
Race 5: HAHN PREMIUM MAIDEN PLATE - 1000M.
1st - Going Steady 2nd - Stood Up 3rd - General's Brother 4th - Aroona
COVER IT UP which became fractious in the barriers was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 3.58pm. The late withdrawal of COVER IT UP necessitated betting deductions of 29 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets, 20 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets, and all monies invested on COVER IT UP to be refunded.
Trainer Troy Hall was advised a barrier certificate must be obtained for COVER IT UP prior to its next race start.
GRACE THE GATES and GOING STEADY were both slow to begin.
DOWINIT shifted out on jumping and brushed GENERAL'S BROTHER.
AROONA was forced to race wide throughout the event.
