SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Change of riders notified prior to the commencement of the meeting were as listed in the meeting summary sheet.

Apprentice D Peisley was fined the sum of $100 under AR 145 for weighing in in excess of 1/2kg over his allotted weight on CLASSIC FRONTIER at Eagle Farm on 16th April 2005.and was severely reprimanded under AR 175(p) for disobeying the direction of the Stewards to remain on course.
Stewards intend to interview D Bowen's representative (D Bowen Jnr) regarding this matter.

Acting on a complaint from bookmaker's supervisor G Anderson, bookmaker Hayden Flynn was reprimanded under LR 119 (c)i in that he was late in arriving on course to commence operations by the required time.

Race 1: JAN MCMILLAN TWO YEAR OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1200M .
1st - JEBSEN CHAMPION 2nd - MISS MOLLY DOLLY 3rd - NOUVEAU STAR 4th -THIN AND CRISPY.

The start was delayed for some considerable time due to INNOCENT LAD (M Bennett) having to be re-plated.

At the start CHARVICKY (B Hull) was tightened between IRISH LUCK (M Pelling) and JEBSEN CHAMPION (K Pope) which shifted out.

BEECADD (M Smith-Lester) became awkward at the start and shifted in taking INNOCENT LAD (M Bennett) in on to IRISH LUCK (M Pelling).

After begining awkwardly ROCK THE DAWN (A Pattillo) had to be steadied off the heels of JEROME'S IDOL (T Treichel) which was taken out by NOUVEAU STAR (B Johnson)

Leaving the 800 metres ALWAYS WAITING (K Cunningham) shifted out bumping UVIDUS (M Cahill).

Race 2: GREG GRANT AUSTRALIA MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1000M.
1st - BLOOMIN LOVELY 2nd - FIDEISM 3rd - RISEUPSINGING 4th - YOUNG MARINER.

On the way to the barriers R McMahon was harmlessly dislodged from BUCCA ROAD.

The start was delayed due to BUCCA ROAD having to be re-saddled.

At the start THE DEVIL HERSELF (M Pelling) shifted in making contact with BUCK 'N' JAZZ (C Eaton).

FIDEISM (M Cahill) shifted out at the start making heavy contact with GOLD SARINA (M Usher).

PERFECT GYPSY (A Pattillo) was slow to begin.

After leaving the 800 metres GOLD SARINA (M Usher) began to race ungenerously and had to be steadied.

The cirsingle on GOLD SARINA (M Usher) broke during the event.

Race 3: QRSE JOE RICHARDS MENSWEAR OPEN HANDICAP - 1600M .
1st -DANEFUL 2nd - MAGRITTE 3rd - MAKE ME A MIRACLE 4th - STAGE KING

JESTICA (J Byrne) blundered on jumping.

Approaching the 600 metres STAGE KING (L Wray) shifted out taking MAGRITTE (G Palmer) wider on the track.


Following the running of Race 3 apprentice B Hull was stood down by the Club Doctor and was replaced as follows:
Race 4 - VICKYVAL - T Pannell
Race 5 - VACINTA ROSE - T Pannell

Race 4: QUEENSLAND RACEHORSE OWNERS ASSOCIATION MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1300M.
1st - LOPPER 2nd - SIMPLE INTEREST 3rd - PAMADA DANCER 4th -TECO

TAWNACITY (C Rogers) and LOPPER (C Pay) both begin awkwardly.

SIMPLE INTEREST (R Plumb) was inclined to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

Approaching the 800 metres LOPPER (C Pay) had to be steadied off the heels of SIMPLE INTEREST (R Plumb).

SIMPLE INTEREST (R Plumb) was held up for clear running from the 450 metres until approaching the 250 metres then shifted in tightening COME BACK SOON (B Stewart) on to TAMING THE SHREW (M Pelling).

PAMADA DANCER (M Cahill) which was over racing, raced wide throughout the event.

TAWNACITY lost the near fore plate in running.

A post race Veterinary examination of STABLE GOSSIP failed to reveal any abnormality.

Jockey M Cahill rider of PAMADA DANCER was reprimanded for weighing in in excess of 1/2kg over his allocated weight.

Race 5:QRSE WAYNE TIPPER CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1200M.
1st - VITRUVIUS - 2nd - FLICK 'N' SPIN 3rd - VACINTA ROSE 4th - PROTEST VOTE

VACINTA ROSE (T Pannel) and WAR GENERAL (J Byrne) were both slow to begin.

THE TREE (R Plumb) which began awkwardly made contact with the inside of the barrier and momentarily lost the use of the inside iron. A short distance later THE TREE (R Plumb) had to be steadied when tightened between VITRUVIUS (S Katsidis) and FLICK 'N' SPIN (M Cahill) both of which shifted ground.

WAR GENERAL (J Byrne) was inclined to over race near the 700 metres and shifted wider on the track.

Near the 400 metres WAR GENERAL which was inclined to lay in had to be steadied off the heels of OH SUN (G Palmer) which was taken out slightly by PROTEST VOTE (K Cunningham).

THE TREE lost the off hind plate during the event.

Trainer S Dwyer was advised that WAR GENERAL which bled from both nostrils will now incur a mandatory 3 month ban from racing under AR 53A.

Race 6: REMIS AUSTRALIA CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1000M.
1st - MINI MATILDA 2nd - GUNMAN 3rd - DAWN'S MISS 4th - CASH MISTRESS

Prior to the event HE'S A CHARACTER dislodged apprentice L Fyfe and galloped a short distance. After being recaptured HE'S A CHARACTER was inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start.

On return to scale a protest was lodged by apprentice T Pannell rider of 3rd placed DAWN'S MISS against MINI MATILDA ridden by M Pelling being declared the winner alleging interference over the final 100 metres.
After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the official race film, the stewards were of the opinion that the margin separating both horses at the finish did not exceed the inconvenience to DAWN'S MISS and therefore dismissed the objection.
At a subsequent inquiry M Pelling (MINI MATILDA) was severely reprimanded and reminded of his obligation to stop riding and straighten his mount in similar circumstances.

GUNMAN (J Byrne) brushed the gate on jumping away and shortly after made contact with DAWN'S MISS which shifted in.

TEEN A TE (M Cahill) was slow to begin.

Approaching the 250 metres GUNMAN (J Byrne) shifted in and brushed HE'S A CHARACTER (L Fyfe).

When questioned regarding the performance of TEEN A TE jockey M Cahill stated that the filly had trialed well on Thursday and he was disappointed with the performance , he further added it was the filly's first start back on a heavy track which may have also been a contributing factor, stewards noted his explanation.

TEEN A TE lost the near side hind plate during the event.

A post race veterinary examination of TEEN A TE failed to reveal any abnormality.

Race 7: WANLESS WASTE CORP JIM MCGILL CLASS 3 HANDICAP - 1400M.
1st - FASTNESS 2nd - BARONIAL 3rd - CARRY ON ACE 4th - SPECIAL LANGFUHR

CARRY ON ACE (A Best) and THEBAREFOOTBUSHMAN (J Byrne) were both slow to begin.

Over the concluding stages SPECIAL LANGFUHR (T Treichel) had to be steadied when momentarily tightened between BARONIAL (C Rogers) and CARRY ON ACE (A Best) both of which shifted ground.

When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of THEBAREFOOTBUSHMAN jockey J Byrne stated he felt the horse may have come to the end of its preparation.
Trainer G Harrison stated that although THEBAREFOOTBUSHMAN had trained well during the week she agreed with J Byrne's assessment and further stated that the horse will now be sent for a spell.

Race 8: KILTO PARK AGISTMENT FARM CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1600M .
1st - WHEEL THE LEAD 2nd - RISING TOWER 3rd - HARDER 4th - RAZYANA QUEEN

Approaching the 400 metres ESEMES (L Fyfe) had to be steadied and became unbalanced between HARDER (M Pelling) and WHEEL THE LEAD (G Palmer) both of which shifted ground.
