SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
As jockey G Colless was indisposed he was replaced as per the Stewards summary sheet.
Race 1: BOTTLEMART QUEENSLAND MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1400M.
1st - CHARGE D'AFFAIRES 2nd - ERINACEUS 3rd - ROJAH FLOWER 4th - DELL AMBY
EROMACEIS (T Pannell) was slow to begin.
ROJAH FLOWER (T Treichel) jumped away awkwardly.
Soon after the start BETTER BITE (M Price) was tightened for room between OCEAN HALO (R McMahon) and CHARGE D'AFFAIRES (J Byrne) which both shifted ground.
Apprentice R McMahon rider of OCEAN HALO dropped his whip near the 150 metres.
Approaching the 100 metres EIGHT RELIC (T Unwin) was inclined to hang in and had to be steadied off the heels of ANNIES ATTITUDE (B Thomson).
DOPPELT (M Cahill) was obliged to race three wide for the entire event.
Trainer L Manzelmann was advised that as OCEAN HALO was found to have bled from both nostrils for the first time, the mandatory three month ban will now apply.
Race 2: BOTTLEMART EXPRESS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000M.
1st - ONLY VISION 2nd - SHE'S FOXY 3rd - LADY SHINKO 4th - MONCHIQUE
MONCHIQUE (M Cahill) jumped out at the start taking BARABBAS (P Hammersley) out on to the hind quarters of SCARLET'S ANGLE (K Pope). BARABBAS was then inclined to race greenly for a short distance.
Near the 900 metres SCARLET'S ANGEL (K Pope) had to be checked when tightened for room between HEADRAISER (R Goltz) and VICTORY CAPERS (B Stewart) which was inclined to hang in when tightened for room momentarily by MINLANI (M Morris) which shifted in. Apprentice M Morris rider of MINLANI was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
Approaching the 700 metres HEADRAISER (R Goltz) which was inclined to over race, had to be steadied off the heels of VICTORY CAPERS (B Stewart).
Approaching the 600 metres VICTORY CAPERS (B Stewart), which was inclined to hang in, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of BAMBISCO (A Parramore). LADY HOUDINI (C Kearney) which was following had to be steadied as a result.
Approaching the 200 metres SHE'S FOXY (K Wharton) shifted out abruptly across the heels of MONCHIQUE (M Cahill) to obtain clear running.
ONLY VISION (T Treichel) was inclined to shift out under pressure over the concluding stages.
LADY HOUDINI lost the near fore plate during the event.
Race 3: XXXX GOLD CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1200M.
1st - NASRULLAH'S GIRL 2nd - BALAK ROSE 3rd - CLASSIC ALIBI 4th - GOLD GOLD GOLD.
SANDY'S REWARD (L Plumb) lost ground at the start when tightened for room between COTA WARIBL (L Appo) and NASRULLAH'S GIRL (R McMahon) which was taken in by GOLD GOLD GOLD (T Treichel).
COTA WARIBL (L Appo) was inclined to over race in the early stages.
GOLD GOLD GOLD (T Treichel) shifted out wider on the track near the 700 metres after steadying off the heels of PICAMELO (J Sharp).
PICAMELO (J Sharp) had to be steadied off the heels of MYAMBA GEM (B Stewart) which shifted out leaving the 200 metres.
Race 4: HAHN PREMIUM LIGHT CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1200M.
1st - KANPEKI 2nd - GENERALLY CHARMING 3rd - DULACCA DAME 4th - SO SPICY
GENERALLY CHARMING (Morris) and HOPESPRINGSETERNAL (D Ballard) bumped on jumping.
Shortly after the start NORANI STAR (J Byrne) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of DULACCA DAME (J Sharp) which shifted in.
Approaching the 1000 metres DULACCA DAME (J Sharp) shifted in causing GENERALLY CHARMING (M Morris) to be steadied. Following this incident GENERALLY CHARMING was inclined to over race.
J Sharp rider of DULACCA DAME was shown the video and advised to exercise more care in future.
Near the 1000 metres HOPESPRINGSETERNAL (D Ballard) which was over racing, had to be steadied off the heels of SO SPICY (T Treichel).
Leaving the 100 metres NORANI STAR (J Byrne) was inclined to over race and shifted out taking MOSS MANIA (M Palmer) wider.
When caught three wide near the 800 metres PARTYING (A Parramore) steadied in an attempt to obtain a run closer to the rail causing NORANI STAR (J Bryne) which was following to be steadied to avoid the heels of that horse.
A post race Veterinary examination of PARTYING revealed the mare to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer R Stephenson was advised a Veterinary certificate will be required prior to the mare's next race start.
Race 5: BUNDY RUM CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1400M.
1st - SPRINTCAR 2nd - MIX 3rd - BONDS GIRL 4th - AMBOO
After jumping awkwardly SPRINTCAR (M Cahill) was then tightened for room between ROI SOLEIL (J Byrne) and SEQUALO FAIR (K Cunningham) which shifted out. In this incident the saddle on SPRINTCAR shifted back placing M Cahill at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event.
A short distance after the start ROI SOLEIL (J Byrne) and SMART ZONE (B El-issa) were both tightened for room between SPRINTCAR (M Cahill) and NATIVE KNIGHT (K Yoshida) which shifted in.
Approaching the 400 metres SMART ZONE (B El-issa) shifted out making contact with CROWN PRINCE (T Treichel).
Race 6: BOTTLEMART ONE OF THE LOCALS OPEN HANDIDAP - 1000M.
1st - STAR GROOM 2nd - DIFFICULT 3rd - BLACK SUIT 4th - MISTER DE BALI
ZOE'S LAD which was injured in transit, was declared a late scratching at 1.25pm on Veterinary advice. Trainer C Smith was advised a Veterinary certificate will be required prior to the gelding's next race start.
The start was delayed when BLACK SUIT had to be re-saddled.
ROJAH SILVER (T Treichel) which was slow to begin was further hampered by MISTER DE BALI (B Stewart) which jumped in.
ROJAH SILVER (T Treichel) was momentarily held up rounding the home turn.
BLACK SUIT (J Taylor) raced wide throughout and was inclined to hang out rounding the home turn.
QUESADILLA (B El-issa) was obliged to race three wide throughout the event.
Race 7: TOOHEYS NEW CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1200M.
1st - MILLIARDAIRE 2nd - EPSOM RACES 3rd - LET'S DEVOWER 4th - MONSZIP
As jockey P Hammersley was to be overweight he was replaced on CONGRUOUS by J Byrne. P Hammersley was subsequently fined the sum of $200 under AR 120(b).
PIMPALA KANE (J Taylor) and STAR ECHELON (M Rice) bumped on jumping when both horses shifted ground.
WILL IT REIGN (K Yoshida) was slow to begin.
Approaching the 1100 metres WILL IT REIGN (K Yoshida) got its head in the air and raced ungenerously for a short distance.
At the 1000 metres when being restrained PIMPALA KANE (J Taylor) was inclined to over race.
Near the 750 metres EPSOM RACES (S Galloway) had to be restrained off the heels of STAR ECHELON (M Rice). DANELAND (J Sharp) which was following was also inconvenienced and had to be steadied which resulted in EASY RECEIPT (K Pope) which was following, having to ease and shift out.
Near the 350 metres ROYALTON (D Griffin) had to be steadied when disappointed for a run between EPSOM RACES (S Galloway) and MILLIARDAIRE (M Palmer).
CONGRUOUS (J Byrne) was obliged to race wide for the major part of the event.
WILL IT REIGN (K Yoshida) was obliged to race wide throughout.
