SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

From BTC meeting, 2.9.06

Jockey G. Farrer was fined $100 for being overweight and unable fulfill his engagement on WEEKEND WONDER in race 7.


Race 1: Allmain Fittings QTIS 3yo Plate – 1000m
1st – It’s In Her Eyes 2nd – Forever Autumn 3rd – Wishenda 4th – Mountain Height

GOLD STRATEGY was declared a late scratching at 12.56 p.m. on veterinary advice after the gelding broke through the barriers. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on GOLD STRATEGY were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 17 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets, 19 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets. Trainer T. Harrison was advised that GOLD STRATEGY will be required to obtain a barrier certificate before again racing.

MOUNTAIN HEIGHT (K. Pope) and WISHENDA (M. Carson) both began awkwardly.

Approaching the 800m, IT’S IN HER EYES (J. Taylor) had to be steadied off the heels of WISHENDA, which shifted in.

A post race veterinary examination of FOREVER AUTUMN revealed the filly to have blood in its mouth as a result of minor oral lacerations.


Race 2: Citywide Finance Maiden Plate – 1600m
1st – To The Nines 2nd – Regina Desert 3rd – Sirelle 4th – Vallejo

Trainer P. Fleming was fined the sum of $100 for failing to declare a rider for TO THE NINES by the prescribed time.

PROMISED (R. McMahon) was slow to begin.

COMMANDER LOVE (S. Drake), DUBAI WELCOME (J. Taylor) and HUNT FOR GLORY (N. Thomas) were all tightened for room on jumping away between REGINA DESERT (K. Pope) and VALLEJO (A. Pattillo), both of which shifted ground.

COMMANDER LOVE and HUNT FOR GLORY were caught wide in the early stages of the event.

Apprentice N. Thomas, rider of HUNT FOR GLORY, was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in approaching the 800m when insufficiently clear of COMMANDER LOVE, which resulted in COMMANDER LOVE being taken in on to VALLEJO (A. Pattillo), causing both of those horses to be steadied.

SIRELLE dislodged both front plates in running.


Race 3: Tensens Cleaning Supplies Class 1 H’cap – 1000m
1st – Bold Act 2nd – Regtainer 3rd – Strezlecki Prince 4th – Zeang

STREZLECKI PRINCE (K. Pope) and STAR OF MONASHEE (M. Palmer) came together on jumping away and shortly after STAR OF MONASHEE shifted in and made contact with DEBRAITH (S. Shield).

O. Turpin, rider of ZEANG, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that he permitted his mount to shift in near the 600m, resulting in RETAINER (R. Plumb) being tightened on to STREZLECKI PRINCE (K. Pope), causing both horses to be checked. O. Turpin was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 8 meetings, to commence at midnight, 3 September and to expire at midnight, 16 September 2006.

O. Turpin (ZEANG) lost his whip 300 metres from the finish.

ZEANG lost its off hind plate in running.


Race 4: Love & Partners Maiden H’cap – 1200m
1st – Stark Naket 2nd – Weight’s Right 3rd – Out Of Ireland 4th – Nomads

NOMADS (R. McMahon) and ISTI POLLY (J. Taylor) were tightened for room on jumping away between NATURAL D’OR (A. Pattillo) and THREE PUTT (R. Mason), which shifted out.

NATURAL D’OR overraced in the early stages of the event.

Leaving the 600m, NOMADS (R. McMahon) shifted out to improve, forcing NATURAL D’OR wider on the track.

STARK NAKED (R. Plumb) and NATURAL D’OR were caught racing wide for the majority of the event.


Race 5: Secutor Securities Class 3 H’cap – 1300m
1st –Leica Launch 2nd –Maiz Son 3rd – Jay Dee Rocks 4th –Fanitino

COVET SECA (M. Radecker) was slow to begin.

TASTY SECRET (S. Drake) was caught racing wide for the majority of the event.


Race 6: Alfies On The Beach Open H’cap – 1200m
1st – Polar Wolf 2nd – Deputy Deal 3rd – Active Combat 4th – Gator

AMAIZCAY (S. Shield) was slow to begin.

MISTER DE BALI (K. Wharton) overraced in the middle stages.

ZEDSQUARE (S. Drake) raced wide throughout.

M. Morris, rider of GATOR, was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts right out to the finish of the event.


Race 7: La Promenade Class 3 Plate – 2200m
1st –Mr Chewy 2nd – Rezone 3rd – Hooker Road 4th – Instant Reward

FEATHER BED (A. Pattillo) jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with INSTANT REWARD (S. Drake).

A short distance later, FEATHER BED (A. Pattillo) had to be steadied off the heels of BERNIE’S STAR (M. Bennett), which shifted out.

REZONE (K. Pope) raced wide in the middle stages.

Approaching the 100m, MR CHEWY (M. Radecker) shifted in under pressure.

A short distance later, REZONE (K. Pope) shifted out, resulting in HOOKER ROAD (N. Thomas) having to be steadied to avoid that horse’s heels.

DONALDSON (M. Morris) raced wide for the majority of the event.


Race 8: Contract Hydraulics Class 1 H’cap – 1400m
1st – See The Flames 2nd – Make A Buck 3rd – Silva Razz 4th – Circle The Wagons

Trainer A. Martelli will be interviewed regarding the late declaration of rider for THE POSTMASTER.

LAILA’S DREAM (T. Treichel) and MAKE A BUCK (R. Mason) came together on jumping away.

SEE THE FLAMES (O. Turpin) began awkwardly.

STOPAZ (S. Shield) overraced in the early stages of the event.

THE POSTMASTER (M. Radecker) raced wide throughout.
