Near the 1000m KAPOOT (D. Peisley) overraced and threw its head in the air and continued to overrace until near the 800m.

Leaving the 800m CECILALOYSIUS improved up on to the heels of COME ON QUICK and had to be steadied.

CANYOUHEARTHEBELL (B. Pengelly) had a tendency to lay out in the middle stages of the event.

Race 4: MILFORD ORGANIC FARM – ORGAN DONORS WANTED CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1400m,
1st – Tarlee Dancer 2nd – Star Of Noosa 3rd – Ground Swell 4th – Secrets Untold

Trainer L. Birchley was fined $100 under LR. 70 for failing to declare K. Pope as the rider of GROUND SWELL by the prescribed time.

On return to scale A. Taylor, the rider of 4th placegetter SECRETS UNTOLD, lodged an objection against STAR OF NOOSA (M. Hughes) being declared 2nd on the grounds of interference near the 800m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the official video, stewards were of the opinion that although SECRETS UNTOLD was tightened and lost ground at that stage, STAR OF NOOSA was not responsible for the interference and therefore dismissed the protest and declared correct weight on the Judge’s placings.

SECRETS UNTOLD (A. Taylor) began awkwardly.

TARLEE DANCER (J. Taylor) jumped away awkwardly and shifted in making contact with CHIEN DE CHAT (W. Pearson).

GROUND SWELL (K. Pope) had a tendency to lay in for the majority of the event and near the 800m shifted in tightening SECRETS UNTOLD, resulting in that horse losing ground. CHIEN DE CHAT, which was trailing, had to steady in this incident.

Near the 800m GLORIOSA HONEY (R. Plumb), which was overracing on the heels of PRAYER CHAMBER, shifted out abruptly, taking STREZLECKI PRINCE (K. Pope) wider. As a result of this incident, GLORIOSA HONEY raced wide for the majority of the event. Shortly after this incident STREZLECKI PRINCE shifted back in to regain a position which resulted in CHOSEN FORTUNE having to be momentarily steadied.

JACARANDA CHARM (J. Taylor) and MISS CANUNGRA (B. Pengelly) were caught racing wide for the majority of the event.

Approaching the 200m CHOSEN FORTUNE was tightened for room between OUR NETTY and STREZLECKI PRINCE which had a tendency to shift in.
