Supplementary Report
Due to an incident at the Wondai race meeting yesterday, J. Kropp was examined by the club’s doctor today and cleared to fulfil his engagements today.
As apprentice S. Arnold was unable to make the allotted weights for REGAL MARINER (Race 1) and RUTHLESS BABE (Race 4), riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet. At a subsequent inquiry, S. Arnold pleaded guilty to a charge under AR120(b) in that he was unable to make the allotted weights on his respective mounts. In view of apprentice Arnold’s recurring overweight issues, his licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 3 weeks, to commence at midnight, 22 July and to expire at midnight, 12 August.
From Eagle Farm, 21.7.12 – Race 4
Trainer Mrs L. Erhart reported that CAMPANARO suffered injuries to both eyes as a result of being struck by clods on the rain affected track.

1st – Rocklea Raider 2nd – Rockin Party 3rd – Millersburg 4th – Light In The Field
KEN’S ROSE (E. Wilkinson), SHADY DEAL (A. Hearn) and ROCKIN PARTY (L. Cassidy) were slow to begin.
CUBA LIBRE (J. Kropp) began awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with MILLERSBURG (M. Dorrington), which also began awkwardly.
Near the 400m, MILLERSBURG (M. Dorrington) shifted out to obtain clear running and was disappointed for a run between MEGADEMA (A. Spinks) and DELLASERA (A. Erhart), and was then obliged to alter course back to the inside.
LIGHT IN THE FIELD (J. Stanley) and MEGADEMA (A. Spinks) raced wide for the majority of the event.
Stewards questioned apprentice A. Allen regarding the tactics adopted on ROCKLEA RAIDER, which led today contrary to its previous starts. Apprentice Allen stated he was given no specific instructions, particularly in view of the horse’s unknown ability on heavy tracks, and was advised to position the gelding where it was comfortable. He added the horse began well and instead of restraining, he allowed ROCKLEA RAIDER to travel comfortably in the lead. Trainer P. Cox confirmed the instructions and stewards noted the explanations.
Race 2: Easts Leagues Club QTIS 2yo Maiden Plate - 1300m
1st – Saddleback 2nd – Change Often 3rd – Crocodile Dancer 4th – Shtarker
ITARA (J. Kropp) was slow to begin.

Trainer G. Hardy advised that he intended to now spell the horse. Stewards advised Mr Hardy that HERITAGE LISTED must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
On jumping away, SADDLEBACK (R. McMahon) and HALLSIDE SHOWDOWN (K. Wharton) shifted ground and made contact. As a result, HALLSIDE SHOWDOWN then shifted out on to ROCKING EMPIRE (A. SHTARKER (D. Browne), ROCKING EMPIRE and SADDLEBACK overraced in the early stages.
ROCKING EMPIRE raced wide in the early stages.
Near the 500m, HALLSIDE SHOWDOWN commenced to hang out and had to be steadied from the heels of LADY ECHELON.

Leaving the 300m, when placed under pressure, SAN JOSE raced greenly for a short distance.
SAN JOSE raced wide for the majority of the event.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of LITTLE FEATHER, apprentice A.
