As M. Cahill and G. Goold were indisposed, riding changes were made as per the Stewards' Summary Sheet.
Race 1: Finz Swimwear Maiden H'cap – 1600m
GO THE SHOW – Declared a late scratching at 12.39 pm on veterinary advice when found to be lame in the off foreleg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required for GO THE SHOW prior to its next race start.
All monies invested on Go the Show withdrawn by the order of the stewards at 12:39 pm to be refunded.

INVICTUS MANEO – Raced 3 wide throughout without cover.
Race 2: Maroochy Surf Club Maiden H'cap – 1200m
GUMDALE BOY – Jumped away awkwardly.
GOTHIC MIGHT – Severely hampered at the start.
EASY ALPHA – Tightened for room after improving into a narrow run leaving the 800m between GOTHIC MIGHT and CRACK OF DAWN. Jockey T. Bell, rider of EASY ALPHA, was cautioned and advised to show greater care, particularly in today’s prevailing track conditions.
Race 3: Samios Plumbing Supplies Class 1 H'cap – 1000m
BARNTOWN – Reared at the start and lost ground. Overraced in the early stages.
PRIME QUEST – Jockey T. Bell reported that the horse travelled comfortably in the lead until placed under pressure soon after straightening and then proved disappointing in its finishing effort.
Race 4: St Clair Sheetmetal Class 2 H'cap – 1200m
MUSIC OF LIFE – Slow to begin.
NEUSCHWANSTEIN – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Rider M. McGuren explained that after racing wide throughout the gelding quickened in the early part of the straight, however peaked on its run over the final 100m, which he attributed to it being first up from a spell with 59 kilograms on today’s track conditions.
Race 5: Specialist Export Services Benchmark 80 H'cap – 1200m
HAIZUM – Raced ungenerously in the early stages when racing 3 wide without cover.
Race 6: SMS Finance Class 3 H'cap – 1400m
BACKUP PLAN – Cast its near fore plate in running.
Race 7: Cottontree Foodworks QTIS 3yo Class 1 H'cap – 1200m
FLINDERS DRAGON – Slow to begin.
FUSINA – Shifted out under pressure over the final 200m.
Race 8: Maroochy Surf Club Class 1 H'cap – 1400m
Following Race 7, riders expressed safety concerns with an area of the track approaching and passing the 800m. Following an inspection, stewards found this part of the track had deteriorated on the inside section, however wider on the course appeared to be a much better racing surface. After consultation, all riders in this race were satisfied to proceed and agreed that they would endeavour to shift wider to avoid this particular section of the track.
KAISER FRANZ – Rider reported it did not handle today’s heavy track condition.
COOL TRICK – Bumped by another runner near the 300m.
