Race 1: LERIDA LODA MAIDEN PLATE Distance - 1000m. ( 5 Starters).
1st - FRAARDALA 2nd - ATEE EM 3rd - KING ALI
4th - ROCK OF TISANI

ATEE EM (A. Williams) and FRAARDALA (J. Connolly) were both slow to begin.

ATEE EM (A. Williams) raced wide throughout the event.

Race 2: RISING SUN HONDA RESTRICTED TROPHY 2 PLATE 1000m.
( 6 Starters).
1st - NGAN DA BAA 2nd - TOTARA LASS 3rd - FOREIGN KNOWLEDGE 4th - ALMAVALE

HIT THE PAPERS (A. MacIntosh) and ALMAVALE were both slow to begin and lost ground.


Race 3: PENLAN RESTRICTED TROPHY 3 TROPHY PLATE - 1000m.
( 6 Starters).
1st - SEANOFEAR 2nd - COBBI LAD 3rd - MISTER MALCOLM
4th - QUEENIE AMBER

WATCHA POCO (A.Williams), QUEENIE AMBER (J. Connolly) and MISTER MALCOLM were all slow to begin.


Race 4: AMBO OPEN TROPHY RACE – TROPHY PLATE Distance - 800m. ( 5 Starters).
1st - FIERY SEAS 2nd - COVET ‘N’BLACK 3rd - BROUGH
4th - NOEL ‘N’ PETE

At the start COVET’N’BLACK (R Seymour), ENCORE AND ROSES (A.MacIntosh) and BROUGH (J.Dagan) all bumped on jumping.

Race 5: KATE WEDGEWOOD MEMORIAL OPEN TROPHY RACE – TROPHY PLATE Distance - 1200m. ( 6 Starters).
1st - LADY FLICK 2nd - YAMADO 3rd - IVOROSSO
4th - BABY TOD .

LAUGHING CAVALIER ((R.Syemour) lost considerable ground at the start when slow into stride.


RACE 6: WILLY’S GIFT OPEN TROPHY RACE. TROPHY PLATE.
1st PIKESTAFF 2nd STAR ANCHOR 3rd SAND CAY 4th TEXAS FLOOD
1600 Metres . (6 Starters).

As no other rider was available Stewards allowed Mr K. WESTCOTT to ride SUPOREME AGENDA 8.5kgs overweight.

HI KEA (A.Williams), was a late scratching at 4.57pm by order of Stewards after the horse had proved difficult in the mounting yard and then on entering out onto the track refused to go around to the start. Trainer Ms L.GODFREY was advised that prior to the horse again starting in a race it would be required to pass a test in the presence of a Steward showing that its prerace manners are acceptable.

SUPREME AGENDA was slow to go and then travelled very wide and tired noticeable in the straight.


Race 7: N.Q. TOOLS SUPPLY JUMBO CONSOLATION OPEN TROPHY RACE. – TROPHY PLATE 800 Metres (5 Starters)
1st ANOTHER OPINION 2nd POINTING NORTH 3rd MASTER STIRLING 4th HONOUR STATE (5 Starters)

This race was programmed as a Consolation Open Trophy Race for Jumbo weighted riders. As only two Jumbo riders were in attendance and able to ride, the Committee of the Club requested that the conditions of the race be changed so as the weights carried were as for the normal events. Stewards agreed to this request.

QUEENIE AMBER which was having its second start of the day was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon prior to being saddled for this event and was passed fit to race.

QUEENIE AMBER (J. Connolly), proved difficult to get out onto the track and was reluctant to go around to the start. The mare was then slowly into stride at the start and lost some 25 lengths. Trainer Mr F. MANWARTING was advised that prior to the mare again starting in a race it would be required to pass a test in the presence of a Steward showing that its prerace manners are acceptable. Mr MANWARING advised that he would retire the mare from racing immediately.
