GENERAL

As Jockey C. Bumstead had failed to arrive on course, riding changes were made as per the Steward’s Summary. Stewards will inquire into the reasons why Jockey Bumstead failed to fulfil her engagements.

Race 1: - HG ROGERS MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 1000 METRES.
1st – SAN MATEO 2nd – MILLS AND BOOM 3rd – COTTON ON FIRE 4th – SHEZAGOODONE

In the enclosure, CRAIGLEA SHREK appeared lame. A veterinary inspection indicated confirmed the gelding was lame in the off foreleg. Stewards declared CRAIGLEA SHREK a late scratching and betting adjustments were announced prior to correct weight. Trainer B. Johnson will be advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness is required prior to its next race start.

MILLS AND BOOM (D Rewald) returned to the enclosure with blood in the near side nostril as a result of the gelding hitting the barrier partition being placed in barrier.
SHEZAGOODONE (S Sweedman) raced ungenerously in the early stages.

Race 2: - TAMBO CATTLEMEN CLASS B HANDICAP 1000 METRES.
1st – CRAIGLEA CADILLAC 2nd – QUAESTUS 3rd – CRAIGLEA CHIMES 4th – TARMONS

CRAIGLEA LAD (R Bellert) shifted out on jumping.
CRAIGLEA CADILLAC (D Rewald) shifted in on jumping resulting in BILLKAY (C Bryen) being inconvenienced at the start.

Race 3: - ELDERS GOLDEN CLASSIC QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1200 METRES.
1st – PACKT 2nd – ALL ROYAL 3rd – EXHILARATER 4th – BI QUALO

ALL ROYAL (C Rogers) was slow to begin.
PURE DANCER (App. Cameron Dixon) threw its head in the air on jumping, losing ground.
CRAIGLEA ICE (R Faehr) shifted inward on jumping.
Jockey Scott Sweedman reported ill and was stood down from further riding engagements. He was advised by Stewards that a medical clearance was required prior to riding again. Riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary.

Race 4: - QLD COUNTRY RACING SERIES CLASS 6 PLATE 1200 METRES.
1st – SPILT MILK 2nd – SADLIERS CROSSING 3rd – PALOLO DEEP 4th – CRAIGLEA HUMMER

SPLIT MILK (C Bryen) shifted outward on jumping striking the barrier.
Jockey Bryen dismounted from SPLIT MILK on pulling up, was treated by Paramedic and transported back to enclosure for further treatment for bruising to his lower left leg. Acting under ARR 142, Jockey C Bryen was excused from weighing in due to injury and was stood down from his remaining engagements. Jockey Bryen will be required to furnish a medical certificate prior to his next riding engagements.


Race 5: - TAMBO CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400 METRES.
1st – EVADING 2nd – BLITZKRIEG 3rd – WILD HERO 4th – THE BIG EASY

BLITZKRIEG (D Monaghan) tended to over race early.
Stewards requested that minor placings be reviewed by judges, which resulted in No 8 WILD HERO being placed 3rd when No 6 DIGGING DEEP had been announced.
Jockey D Monaghan BLITZKRIEG was granted permission to view the race video from the 450M.mark and also the finish prior to correct weight.

Race 6. –CRAIGLEA STUD CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400 METRES.
1st CRAIGLEA PURSUIT 2ND MONEY BUNNY 3RD MOXIE MILLION 4TH PALEFACE WARRIOR.

Stewards inquired into the dual declaration of jockey S Sweedman on both horses. Jockey Sweedman stated that he had not accepted the ride on PALEFACE WARRIOR and that Trainer H Forster had misunderstood him. This was noted by Stewards. David Monaghan substituted for PALEFACE WARRIOR.

RAISE THE SOUND (Cheryl Rogers) was unruly in Barrier.
PALEFACE WARRIOR jumped awkwardly and dropped out in the early stages.
