WEATHER - Fine TRACK - Good

GENERAL
Trainer R Hay was fined the sum of $50.00 for failing to declare a rider for YALLAH CITY, by the required time.
Trainer N Perry was fined the sum of $50.00 for presenting SMEE without blinkers to the enclosure.
T Kruger was indisposed stewards permitted the following riding replacements
Race 3 CHUBASCO G Booth
Race 5 GLOWING PROFIT R Hall

RACE 1: CLASS 6 H'CAP - 1075m
There was a malfunction with photo finish for this race.
SMART SET & SEVERENCE came together at the start.
SEVERENCE made the home turn wide.

RACE 2: QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200M
LET'S KANOODLE . Mandatory 3 month ban was placed on LET'S KANOODLE. A swab sample was taken.
At approx the 1050m MAGIC GREY MAN shifted in and away from NAVAR PRINCESS, causing GRAND FAVOUR to clip the heels of MAGIC GREY MAN.

RACE 3: CLASS B H'CAP - 1300M
Due to trainer A Donnelly not putting a stable return in by the required time PEDRO'S AMAZING was denied the wearing of blinkers.
DAY OFF jumped awkwardly from the barriers losing little ground.
DAY OFF had to be steadied at the 200m to avoid the heels of SPY CHASE, which shifted out under pressure.

RACE 4: CLASS 4 H'CAP - 1400m
No racing incidents to report.

RACE 5: THANGOOL CUP - 1600M
GLOWING PROFIT was held up for clear running on the home turn.
AWESOME LAD was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages on to EIRIE RETREAT.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of AWESOME LAD trainer R Meek stated that at his last run in Rockhampton the horse had pulled very hard and would not settle in the early and middle stages of the race and in his opinion this was the undoing of the horse. Explanation was noted.

RACE 6: CLASS 2 H'CAP - 800M
STRING APPLAUSE was slow into stride.
Stewards inquired into an incident that occurred at the 600m where DANISH HEIR lost ground.
It was established that when jockey M Barnham was steadying DANISH HEIR that BOLTON ROSE shifted in and away from MIGHTY MOOSE resulting in JEWEL OF THE RANCH being taken in onto DANISH HEIR.
KARION AGAIN shifted out over concluding stages of the event.
