Race 1: MatchMaster Communications/NHP Australia H'cap Class - Open Distance - 1400m.
1st - Vostok 2nd - Pugad Lawin 3rd - Magli 4th - Borzov

SIR VIGNON (A Cox) over raced in the early and middle stages.

MAGLI (P Cullen) and VOSTOK (G Kliese) made contact in the early stages of the straight.

Race 2: Osram Australia/Cable Accessories H'cap Class 2 Distance - 1630m.
1st - Exhort 2nd - Selling Strides 3rd - Jakeo 4th- Kalatan

A Cox rider of APOTASY reported his mount was inclined to over race in the early and middle stages.

TARA BRIGHT (G Kliese) was held up in the early stages of the straight.

G Cullen was admonished for using an excessive amount of whip on RIVER LADY.

Race 3: Gerard Industries/Pierlite Australia Class 6 Plate Distance - 1630m.
1st - Undenied 2nd - Sunaclang 3rd - Anna De Jules 4th- Packsynd

Leaving the 500 metres UNDENIED (D Crossland) was momentarily tightened for room by ANNA DE JULES (F Edwards) which shifted in slightly.

SUNACLANG (P Cullen) was inclined to lay in rounding the 1000 metre turn and had to be steadied off the heels of ANNA DE JULES (F Edwards)

Prior to the declaration of correct weight P Cullen rider of SUNACLANG requested to view the photo finish print.

BABINDA HALF was declared a late scratching at 4:02pm by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice when that gelding was injured after becoming fractious in the barrier stalls. Prior to the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered all monies invested on BABINDA HALF be refunded, and all successful wagers made prior to the withdrawal of BABINDA HALF be paid less 33 cents on the face value of the win ticket and less 21 cents on the face value of the place ticket.

G Cullen rider of DESERT TRIUMPH was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in near the 650 metres when not clear of YOUNG AUREOLE (I Toward) resulting in that horse being taken in onto TWISTED LOVE (M Elliot) placing that horse in restricted room. Shortly after TWISTED LOVE (M Elliot) shifted in of its own accord and made contact with the hindquarters of FULL BALE (P Cullen) and had to be checked.

G Cullen was further admonished for allowing his mount DESERT TRIUMPH to shift in near the 500 metres when not clear of YOUNG AUREOLE (I Toward) resulting in that horse having to be steadied when taken in onto FULL BALE (P Cullen).


Approaching the 200 metres YOUNG AUREOLE (I Toward) shifted in and made contact with DESERT TRIUMPH (G Cullen).

Race 5: HMP/Hager B & R H'cap Class 4 Distance - 1000m.
1st - Esdene’s sequal 2nd - Premium Dry 3rd - Spy’s Eclipse 4th – Let’s Reconsider

BOB’S COUNTY (L Critoph) and SPY’S ECLIPSE (I Toward) made contact on jumping away.

Approaching the winning post SPY’S ECLIPSE (I Toward) shifted in under pressure and made contact with SPRITELY NED (J Long)

Race 6: Nesco – Conwell/Pirelli Cables Maiden Plate Distance - 1200m.
1st - Bright Selection 2nd - Lochmaddy 3rd - Sanlucar 4th- Northern Commander

Leaving the 1100 metres BRIGHT SELECTION (G Kliese) had to be steadied off the heels of ON THE FAIRWAY (J Stopps) which shifted out slightly.

Leaving the 900 metres BLOWUP DOLL commenced to over race and had to be steadied off the heels of ON THE FAIRWAY. BLOWUP DOLL continued to over race until leaving the 700 metres.

Approaching the 600 metres BRIGHT SELECTION (G Kliese) commenced to over race and shifted out making heavy contact with ON THE FAIRWAY (J Stopps).
