SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
Race 4, Class 3 Handicap 1400 metres, Townsville, 21st September 2004:
Stewards today conducted an inquiry into the reason for A. Molino being dislodged from PICK ANOTHER and D. Whitmore being dislodged from BRAVEST OF ALL. D. Whitmore gave his evidence by speakerphone. After taking evidence from the parties involved it was established that at about the 500 metres PICK ANOTHER (A. Molino) improved up onto the heels of STARDINI (I. Toward), clipped that horse’s heels and blundered, dislodging A. Molino. As a result of this incident BRAVEST OF ALL (D. Whitmore), which was following PICK ANOTHER, fell over the fallen horse and dislodged its rider. The circumstances were noted.
Race 1, Home Hill, 2nd November 2004:
Stewards today conducted an inquiry into interference that occurred leaving the 1000 metres. Jockey M. Young, the rider of ZIRCONS, was severely reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in, resulting in MATRIX (F. Edwards) being taken in onto SANLUCAR (G. Cullen), which had to be steadied. Shortly after this incident BORDERLINE BLUE (I. Toward) shifted out slightly, resulting in further tightening to SANLUCAR, which had to be checked in consequence.
LATE RIDING CHANGES:
As M. Bennett was indisposed, the following substitutions were permitted: Race 3, D. Craven to ride INDIGESTION; Race 6, I. Toward to ride SANLUCAR.
Race 1: - Big Yummy QTIS 3-Year-Old Maiden Handicap - Distance - 1000m.

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to permit D. Philpot, the rider of SHE CAN CHA CHA which finished fourth, to view the video film with a view to lodging an objection against YUMIKO (J. Stopps) being declared third. After viewing the official films Jockey Philpot decided not to lodge a protest.
CANNY DODGE (D. Craven) was slow to begin.
At the start DECANT (P. Cullen) shifted out away from SHE CAN CHA CHA (D. Philpot) and crowded AULD FRIEND (D. Armstrong) onto SHARED EQUITY (Apprentice R. McMahon).

Approaching the 700 metres DECANT (P. Cullen) shifted in and made contact with SHE CAN CHA CHA (D. Philpot), which in turn shifted in and bumped JONQUILS (W. Kenning).
