Race 1: www.cludenpark.com.au QTIS 2-YEAR-OLD Handicap - 1000 metres
1st - SEA ZULU 2nd - KOOYONG CROWN 3rd - TRUE SINDY 4th - FLYING WOODPECKER

On jumping GHOST FACE (P. Cullen) shifted in and hampered FLYING WOODPECKER (J. P. Stanley).

At the start SEA ZULU (G. Kliese) shifted out, taking MISTER BRUMBY (G. Cullen) out onto KOOYONG CROWN (Apprentice R. McMahon), which in turn shifted out and hampered TRUE SINDY (D. Green).

Shortly after the start SEA ZULU (G. Kliese) shifted in when not quite clear of GHOST FACE (P. Cullen), which was eased. G. Kliese was severely admonished and advised to exercise more care.

From soon after the start until near the 500 metres GHOST FACE (P. Cullen) raced ungenerously, and from the 500 metres until entering the straight was inclined to shift out, placing its rider at a disadvantage in riding his mount out.

At about the 600 metres TRUE SINDY (D. Green) shifted in and had to be eased to avoid the heels of KOOYONG CROWN (Apprentice R. McMahon).

Race 2: Dining Marquee Class 3 Plate - 1400 metres
1st - POWER OF NOW 2nd - HOWLEY HALL 3rd - EXHORT 4th - KNOCKBACK

UMAHERO (A. Cox) was slow to begin.

On jumping HOWLEY HALL (D. Evans) was crowded between BLEIGHSBOY (G. Kliese), which shifted out, and EXHORT (W. Kenning), which shifted in.

At the start JAKEO (F. Edwards) was tightened for room between MR. LUCIO (D. Green), which shifted out, and POWER OF NOW (Apprentice R. McMahon) which shifted in.

About the 1300 metres HOWLEY HALL (D. Evans) improved up onto the heels of BLEIGHSBOY (G. Kliese) and had to be steadied.

In the early and middle stages EXHORT (W. Kenning) overraced.

Race 3: QRSE Cup Day Lawn Seating Fillies and Mares Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - TROUBEAUT 2nd - DEARIE’S PRIDE 3rd - SHE’S VICTORIOUS 4th - CRYSTAL EXPRESS

Shortly after the start CRYSTAL EXPRESS (J. Felix) was steadied to avoid the heels of CATALINA CROSSING (D. Green).

Approaching the 750 metres MOVE EASY (K. Penrose) commenced to overrace, shifted in and slightly hampered PURRING ALONG (G. Kliese).

Near the 700 metres FIVE POINTS (P. Cullen) struck the running rail when crowded for room by DEARIE’S PRIDE (G. Cullen), which laid in despite the efforts of its rider.

About the 600 metres PURRING ALONG (G. Kliese) improved up onto the heels of MIDNIGHT PLEASURE (M. Elliott) and was momentarily steadied.

MIDNIGHT PLEASURE (M. Elliott) bled from both nostrils during running. Trainer Ms M. Preston was advised that the mare was barred from competing at licensed meetings for a period of three months under A.R. 53A.

Race 4: Book Now For Cup Day Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - TIME SWITCH 2nd - BAYSIDE STAR 3rd - MOD CHICK (D/H)/BUTTERFLY JUNGLE (D/H)

On jumping PRESTO PRESTO (I. Toward) slipped behind.

On leaving the barriers MCCOOLHA (J. Stopps) shifted out, placing OBI (M. Elliott) in restricted racing room.

In the early stages BEAGLE (A. Cox) raced ungenerously and was inclined to run inwards, placing its rider in considerable difficulty.

Rounding the turn at the 600 metres BEAUSUMO (L. Critoph) was inclined to shift out.

From the 750 metres PRESTO PRESTO (I. Toward) overraced and was inclined to shift ground, resulting in BAYSIDE STAR (D. Evans), which was following, having to be restrained to avoid the heels of PRESTO PRESTO.

From the 700 metres until straightening CITY OF SMILES (D. Price) hung out.

On straightening BEAGLE (A. Cox) shifted in and on several occasions over the next 100 metres made contact with BAYSIDE STAR (D. Evans).

Jockey D. Evans reported that BAYSIDE STAR pulled hard throughout the event.

Jockey W. Kenning (DANCING TOWER) was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels right to the finish.

Race 5: Book Now For Ladies Day Open Handicap - 1630 metres
1st - QUESTWIN 2nd - BRUNT 3rd - SHAMROCKS 4th - MAPS

MAPS (I. Toward) began awkwardly.

At the start BRUNT (W. Kenning) shifted out and brushed ALWYN STREET (Apprentice R. McMahon).

On jumping GLOWING PROFIT (G. Cullen) threw its head in the air.

Rounding the turn at the 1400 metres ALWAYN STREET (Apprentice R. McMahon) raced awkwardly.

In the middle stages BRUNT (W. Kenning) overraced.

When questioned about his failure to ride ALWYN STREET out to the finish, Apprentice R. McMahon stated that in his opinion the gelding was sore. Apprentice McMahon was reminded of his obligation to inform stewards of any matter that may have affected the performance of a horse. Trainer Mr R. Chillemi was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness must be provided before ALWYN STREET will be permitted to race again

A post-race veterinary examination of MAPS (I. Toward) revealed that the gelding was lame in the near foreleg. Trainer Ms J. Ryan will be advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness must be provided prior to MAPS being permitted to race again.

Race 6: Reserved Seating Options Class 1 Handicap - 1000 metres
1st - FOUAD 2nd - SILVER TUSK 3rd - FUEL TO BURN 4th - CALI BACKI BEAU

SILVER TUSK (G. Kliese) began awkwardly.

Approaching the 700 metres MOLLYBEGOOD (F. Edwards) shifted in and momentarily crowded FUEL TO BURN (P. Cullen), which was steadied. F. Edwards was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Rounding the home turn CANNY CON (D. Price) was shifted out to obtain clear running and in doing so raced wider than was necessary.

Near the 300 metres FUEL TO BURN (P. Cullen) shifted out when placed under pressure.

Race 7: QRSE SEA FM Party Zone Class 6 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - RAMEKA 2nd - MOISEEV 3rd - ANNA DE JULES 4th - MS HAVOC

RIGHT CONNECTION (J. Felix) and TOSAMBA (D. Evans) were slow to begin.

Approaching the 1000 metres KENWOOD ALLEGRO (R. Ryan) was inclined to lay in.

Leaving the 800 metres and again near the 500 metres MOISEEVA (D. Green), which was overracing, was steadied away from the heels of FINAL STORM (J. Stopps). Jockey D. Green reported that his mount overraced from the start until the 400 metres when he was able to obtain clear running.

Jockey P. Cullen reported that over the final stages ANNA DE JULES shifted in, resulting in his having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

When questioned about the somewhat disappointing performance of VITEGIC, Apprentice R. McMahon explained that from his wide barrier he was forced to race wide throughout and when placed under pressure the gelding failed to respond to his riding.

Race 8: C Bar Catering QTIS Class 4 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - TYCOON CHARLIE 2nd - DEAR JILLY 3rd - THE SEANSTER 4th - KAPELAS

Shortly after the start TYCOON CHARLIE (P. Cullen) commenced to overrace.

At about the 150 metres LONE RANCHER (W. Kenning) was momentarily steadied when disappointed for clear running.
