RACE 1: ALMAHDAAM (A. Lane) was slow into stride shifting outward abruptly shortly after the start. CLEAR FINISH (L. Deguara) jumped awkwardly. SHE'S A TAAN ( R Goltz) was slow into stride, then had to ease momentarily off the heels of REGAL PIGGY (M. Lister) at approx the 800m. Approaching the 750 metres whilst going forward VAIN VERSE (G. Lynch) had to be eased off the heels of PURE MAREE (A. Erhart). PITY OF LOVE (S. Katsidis) was inclined to hang inward over the concluding stages. Routine swab winner TANGO MUSIC. Time off 4.07pm.
RACE 2: ROAD TO CAIRO (S. Shield) jumped inward inconveniencing LIKELY LAD (D. Green). NUZAC (M. Lister) jumped awkwardly inward coming in contact with CHARIOT'S LIGHT (App. D. McMaster). ACENCO (G. Geran) jumped awkwardly and was buffeted between JUMMRIE (G. Doughty) and VENICE FRIEND (S. Katsidis). Approaching the 800 metres whilst going forward ROAD TO CAIRO (S. Shield) rolled inwards hampering RED AND TOUGH (R. Goltz). AUROFLIP (App. K. Banks) returned to scale lame in the near fore leg. Connections were advised a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to its next start. CHARIOT'S LIGHT underwent a Veterinary examination on returning to scale which found no abnormalities. Routine swab winner BICUSPID. Time off 4.44pm.
RACE 3: BERSATU FALKE (A. Lane) was reluctant to load and then was slow into stride, attention trainer. WOODWORKER (S. Killen) slipped behind at the jump shifting outward inconveniencing FRENCH RAVEN (A. Russell) and FAIR TYCOON (B. Powell). MURTAKA (S. Katsidis) jumped inward hampering SEA OPAL (App. K. Banks) which was slow into stride. FAIR TYCOON (B. Powell) raced green during the early stages of the race. MURTAKA (S. Katsidis) raced green in the straight whilst under pressure. Routine swab winner FRENCH RAVEN. Time off 5.15pm.
RACE 4: RAVLEMAC (App. R. Kerwin) was slow into stride. HEY BUSTER (G. Geran) jumped in making contact with ACE COOL (C. Small). Jockey G. Geran (HEY BUSTER) was issued a warning for permitting his mount to shift in and crowd ACE COOL (C. Small) which in turn shifted inward inconveniencing FUSTIAN (S. Katsidis). At approximately the 800 metres Jockey G. Geran was reprimanded for permitting his mount to continue to shift in and crowding ACE COOL which in turn inconvenienced COLDSPUR (D. Green). Approaching the 450 metres FUSTIAN (S. Katsidis) rolled outward at the same time HAND GRENADE (C. Symons) rolled inward inconveniencing MULKUDDI (B. Powell). All riders were advised to exercise more care, no further action. Routine swab winner BIG GEOFFREY. Time off 5.46pm.
RACE 5: Jockey S. Shield was replaced by M. Lister (COPY BOOK) as he was stood down by the Club Doctor for the remainder of the meeting. FLY THE COLOURS (P. Gesler) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. COPY BOOK (M. Lister) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. Routine swab winner MINATOM. Time off 6.20pm.
RACE 6: Following a track inspection Stewards downgraded the track to dead at approximately 6.30pm. C. Small replaced S. Shield ROKEBY TERRACE. HOT PROMISE (G. Doughty) jumped awkwardly striking the outside upright causing the rider to become unbalanced. ROCKY COLOURS (R. Goltz) was inclined to race ungenerously in the back straight getting its head in the air, attention trainer. BRAVE MAC (S. Katsidis) and HOT PROMISE (G. Doughty) made contact at approximately the 1000 metres. Approaching the 800 metres QUEEN JUDE (R. Barone) whilst going forward, had to ease off the heels of COUNTESS OF KARIOI (M. Lister). Rounding the home turn GEIGER (D. Green) was inclined to hang outward shifting ground abruptly inconveniencing HOT PROMISE (G. Doughty), then continued to hang outward inconveniencing INSPECTOR JIM (P. Gesler). Jockey D. Green was advised to exercise more care. Connections advised a warning would be place on the mare GEIGER. Routine swab winner BRAVE MAC. Time off 6.55pm.
RACE 7: G. Doughty replaced S. Shield (SENOR GO). LUCKY LOVE (B. Appo) jumped with its head in the air and was slow into stride. ZAPATEADO (a. Lane) jumped awkwardly. SENOR GO (G. Doughty) whilst racing keenly had to be eased off the heels of SWOOSH IN TIME (R. Goltz) on at least two occasions. A. Lane (ZAPATEADO) was cautioned when he permitted his mount to roll inward hampering HONOURS (P. Gesler) at approximately the 750 metres. Routine swab winner MR. LAWSON. Time off 7.35pm.
RACE 8: C. Symons replaced M. Paget (FARAWAY PLACES) as he failed to arrive on course due to car breakdown. ZEAL (S. Killen) jumped awkwardly. SHORE AS ALL (G. Geran) was slow into stride. FARAWAY PLACES (C. Symons) raced ungenerously across the 1500 metre crossing. SHIGERU SHOBUSHI (R. Barone) raced ungenerously in the back straight, attention trainer. Approaching the 500 metres ALPINE SENSATION (S. Katsidis) rolled outward making contact with CHIEF SURGEON (D. Green). Routine swab winner CHIEF SURGEON. Time off 8.15pm.
