Weather: Fine Track: Good Rail: Out 6m 1300m–400m. 8m 400m–1300m.

RACE 1: Rocky Ice (G Lynch) jumped awkwardly in coming into contact with the hindquarters if Boulevadre Beau (J Baker) and was slow into stride. Midnight Seas (N Tomizawa) jumped outward hampering Toy Of Joy (J Walk). Hilario (M Aspinall) was slow into stride. Paltrow (S Warren) was inclined to hang outward throughout slightly hampering Midnight Seas at approx the 450m, attention trainer warning. N Tomizawa (Midnight Seas) accidentally dropped his whip at approx 150m. Time off 4.02pm.


RACE 2: Shelly (P Gesler) jumped awkwardly. Auld Hat (M Aspinall) was slow into stride. Approaching the 1000m Sensational Girl (B Appo) rolled outward hampering Daphinga (G Lynch). At approx the 500m Daphinga rolled inward crowding Key To Dancing (L Deguara). Rounding the home turn Auld Hat was inclined to lay outward coming into contact with West Of Eden (C Maund) on at least two occasions. Approaching the 100m She’s A Charm (A Parramore) shifted inward under pressure, when being straightened shifted outward making heavy contact with the hindquarters of Son Of Coco (G Geran) resulting in Jockey G Geran losing his off side iron and becoming unbalance. She’s A Charm then shifted back inward hampering and coming in contact with Key To Dancing which went inward brushing the fence, Jockey A Parramore was advised to exercise more care. Stewards heard a minor protest lodged by C Maund (West Of Eden) fifth against Auld Hat (M Aspinall) fourth for alleged interference in the home straight. After hearing all the evidence the protest was upheld and placing were amended. At a subsequent inquiry it was found the Auld Hat had shifted abruptly out and away form the heels of Daphinga crossing the heels of Sensational Girl making heavy contact with West Of Eden. West Of Eden returned to scale lame in the off/fore and underwent veterinary treatment. Time off 4.42pm.


RACE 3: Bataan Bay was withdrawn by order of the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice at 4.47pm. No Deductions. Sam’s Appeal (A Raby) jumped awkwardly striking the inside upright. The Mish (A Parramore) jumped awkwardly. Cosmic Comet (J Baker) jumped outward coming in contact with Ringeling (J Walk) which in turn made minor contact with Kahana (B Appo). Sam’s Appeal raced greenly during the middle stages of the race. At approx the 500m Kohana rolled inward hampering Ena’s Treasure. (C Maund). Time off 5.20pm.







RACE 4: G Geran (Sir Cruz) dismounted to load, then jumped inward hampering Planatius (J Baker) which was slow into stride. Maurice (M Aspinall) jumped awkwardly inward coming in contact with Jazzad (C Maund). Regal Sign (L Deguara) blundered at the start. At approx the 900m Maurice was inclined to lay outward brushing Sir Cruz. Approaching the 800m turn Maurice hung outward making heavy contact with Arctic Runner (S Warren) which in turn made contact with Princess Rautai (N Tomizawa) resulting in Arctic Runner becoming unbalanced and had to checked when doing so caused the runners following Sir Cruz and Honours to be checked also, with the latter getting its head up in the air for some distance, attention trainer. Approaching the 200m Honours rolled outward hampering Planatius. Time off 5.50pm.

RACE 5: M’Lady Scholar (G Geran) was reluctant to load, warning. Vain Nediym (A Gillett), New Goldmine (A Parramore) and Our Proud Tiger (P Gesler) were all slow into stride. Quirinus (B Appo) jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start Irish Flash (G Lynch) rolled inward crowding Quirinus. Approaching the 100m Our Proud Tiger shifted outward under pressure hampering Irish Flash. Time off 6.25pm.

RACE 6: Razza (J Walk) was slow into stride. Playtoy (C Eaton), Awedad (M Aspinall) and Girl’s Expense (G Geran) all raced fiercely during the early stages of the race, with the latter continuing to race ungenerously in the back straight, attention trainer. Sea Opal (A Parramore) shifted outward under pressure over the concluding stages. Time off 7.05pm.

RACE 7: Argyle Lass (N Tomizawa) and Native Son (S Warren) were slow into stride. Jockey K Waller (Golden Vista) was reprimanded when his mount shifted inward when insufficiently clear causing Native Son to be eased at approx 1700m. Approaching the 800m Native Son rolled outward making contact with the hindquarters of Shahne Tartan (D Sullivan) then moved back inward hampering Golden Vista. Jockey A Gillett (Danawira) was reprimanded when his mount rolled inward when insufficiently clear of Allez Jagaan (L DeGuara) shortly after entering the straight. Time off 7.37pm.

RACE 8: C Small replaced A Pattillo (Fie D’or) as he was indisposed for the meeting. Bad Habit (B Appo) was reluctant to load then slow into stride, warning. Bay Duke (M Aspinall) was slow into stride. Wa Wa Nee (R Goltz) raced greenly during the early stages of the race. Approaching the 1000m Lucky ‘N’ Lovely (S Warren) whilst going forward rolled inward crowding Fie D’or and Nabirae (J Walk). Macaroney (G Geran) was inclined to hang outward during the middle stages of the race. Rounding the home turn Bay Duke was held up behind Bad Habit. At approx the 150 Bad Habit whilst losing ground had to be steadied off Bay Duke as the latter rolled inward. Time off 8.09.
