RACE 1: S Apthorpe (Below Stares) was harmlessly dislodged on his way to the barrier, the filly underwent a Vet’s examination and was declared fit to race. Blake The Snake (R Goltz) jumped outward hampering Bennihi (T Ikenushi) which in turn made contact with Dempency (J Warrington). El Senor (K Mahoney) was slow into stride. Blake The Snake raced ungenerously during the early stages of the race. At approx the 750m Bennihi rolled inward hampering Blake The Snake. Jockey G Geran (Ringeling) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding when his mount went outward when insufficiently clear of Brock’s Mate which in turn went outward hampering Surprise Nip (A Parramore) and Dempency (J Warrington) approaching the 350m. Jockey Geran was suspended from riding in races from midnight the 17/6/00 up to and including the 1/7/00 (8 meetings). Time off 4.14pm.

RACE 2: K Banks was replaced by C Maloney (Kumpel Anton) as she was indisposed for the meeting. Teardrop (J Warrington) dwelt when the gates opened and lost ground. Petra Tropedo (S Killen) jumped awkwardly. Touch of Stardust (S Apthorpe) was slow into stride. At approx the 1000m Nafana (C Eaton) rolled inward coming in contact with Yogi’s Edition (K Mahoney) at the same time Petra Tropedo rolled outward coming in contact with Hoot ‘N’ Toot (G Geran) which caused Tenderness (R Goltz) to be steadied. App C Eaton was reprimanded when her mount shifted inward hampering Burnmoor which in turn inconvenienced Key To Dancing (D Green). Tenderness (R Goltz) was held up behind Kwila Image (A Parramore) rounding the home turn. Approaching the 250m Jockey G Lynch (Crimson And Gold) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding when his mount went inward when insufficiently clear of Tenderness, Jockey G Lynch was suspended from riding in races from midnight the 17/6/00 up to and including the 1/7/00 (8 meetings). Jockey W Cook (Out To Destroy) was reprimanded when his shifted outward under pressure hampering Nafana at approx the 150m. Approaching the 100m App.C Eaton (Nafana) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding when her mount went inward when insufficiently clear of Crimson And Gold (G Lynch), App.Eaton was suspended from riding in races from midnight the 17/6/00 up to and including 28/6/00 (6 meetings). Stewards took into account her excellent record. Time off 4.56pm.

RACE 3: Burnmoor (G Geran) jumped inward and crowded Silvanus (A Baker) and St. Siena (T Ikenushi). Black Top (A Parramore) was slow into stride. Cleo’s Chariot (S Warren) dipped at the jump. Black top (A Parramore) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. Armour View (J Warrington) raced ungenerously during the early stages of the race, then rolled inward coming in contact with Crimson Dream (G Lynch). Silvanus raced greenly throughout.



RACE 3 Cont.

Stewards heard a minor protest 4th G Geran (Burnmoor) against 3rd K Mahoney (With Cause) for alleged interference in the final straight. After hearing all the evidence the Stewards upheld the protest and amended the placing. At a subsequent inquiry it was found that K Mahoney’s saddle had slipped during running resulting in his mount wanting to hang outward in doing so dictated Burnmoor outward causing the latter to be checked off the heels of Brown Dirt Cowboy (R Goltz) at approx the 100m, it continued to shift outward inconveniencing Burnmoor over the concluding stages of the race, Stewards took no further action. Time off 5.36pm.

RACE 4: Whipped (M Dorrington) jumped inward coming in contact with Aspen Valley (L Karklis). Bally Robin (S Killen) jumped outward inconveniencing Serene Elegance (P Gesler) which was slow into stride. Approaching the 800m Jockey L Karklis (Aspen Valley) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding when his mount went inward when insufficiently clear of Polorae (D Green), Jockey Karklis was suspended from riding in races from midnight the 18/6/00 up to and including the 29/6/00 (7 Meeting), Stewards took into account his good riding record. At approx the 750m Linda Lush Lips (G Lynch) rolled outward hampering Winning Return (R Goltz). Aspen Valley shifted outward under pressure in the straight. Time off 6.15pm.

RACE 5: Campbell’s Kingdom (G Geran) was fractious in the barrier, rearing. Boykambil (W Cook) reared as the gates opened and lost ground. Our Proud Tiger (P Gesler) jumped awkwardly. Just Gus (K Mahoney) jumped outward coming in contact with Fiander (A Parramore). Approaching the 1000m whilst racing keenly Just Gus rolled outward coming in contact with Fiander which went out whilst going forward causing the latter to be eased off the heels of Miss Crabopple (C Maund). Time off 6.55pm.

RACE 6: Cool Lou (G Geran) jumped inward coming in contact with Masai Red (K Mahoney) which in turn hampered King Salute (S Killen). Handsome Creole (R Goltz) was slow into stride. Chamton (P Gesler) blundered at the start then raced keenly throughout. Masai Red was inclined to hang outward throughout, attention trainer. Chamton was held up behind Hydro’s Boy rounding the home turn, then was crowded for room over the concluding stages when Beno (A Baker) rolled inward. Time off 7.35pm.

RACE 7: Beauty Queen (K Mahoney) was fractious in the barrier, rearing then blundered when the gates opened. Aviance (K Ikenushi), Gold Heart (K Waller) and Beer Belly Bob (S Killen) were all slow into stride. Watsford’s Gold (G Lynch) jumped awkwardly. At approx the 1400m Merino Park (A Baker) rolled inward hampering Gold Heart. Bandaly (S Warren) raced greenly and hung outwards throughout giving the rider a difficult ride, connections were advised the gelding must pass an official barrier trial prior to its next start. Sonatina (D Green) pulled fiercely for the first 900m rolling outward at approx the 1000m making heavy contact with Watsford’s Gold, then rolled inward away from the heels of Watsford’s Gold crowding Beauty Queen at approx the 800m. Jockey W Cook (Broisel Bay) was reprimanded when he permitted his mount to shift inward crowding Beauty Queen in the back straight. Ceres (R Goltz) was held up behind Broisel Bay rounding the home turn. Time off 8.08pm.

RACE 8: Hamaki (P Gesler) was reluctant to load, warning. Off The Market (T Watson) was slow into stride. In Accord (D Green) jumped awkwardly. Regal Regina (R Goltz) jumped outward. Matty’s Girl (S Warren) was inclined to hang outward rounding the home turn. Approaching the 750m Regal Regina whilst going forward had to be eased off the heels of Bombshell Beauty (W Cook). Time off 8.52pm.
