STEWARDS: J Childs (Chairman), R Doyle, A Jones, C Reibelt

Weather: Fine Track: Good Rail: 6 meters from 1300 - 500 meters. 7 meters from 500 meters - 1300 meters.

RACE: 1. Trainer P Moody was fined the sum of $50 for failing to declare the rider for Mississippi Moon by the required time. Due to transport problems Jockey A Gillett was replaced by G Lynch on Persian's Luck. Dawn Breaker (A Lane), Mississippi Moon (B Appo) and Semi Disco (S Killen) were slowly away. Leaving the 100 meters Mississippi Moon shifted in under pressure. Persian's Luck shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. Time off 4.25 PM.

RACE: 2. Jockey A Gillett was replaced by A Parramore on Star Ted. Media Tricks (S Shield) and Royal Etoile (S Killen) were slowly away. Capitol Award (H Akiyama) which jumped awkwardly raced greenly throughout. Vizier (S Nolen) which was slowly away raced greenly throughout. Approaching the 800 meters Royal Etoile was eased when racing between Watch This Space (L Morrison) which was inclined to race ungenerously and Star Ted which was taken in by Capice (K Yoshida) which was hanging in. Shortly after Royal Etoile shifted out forcing Pretty Hot (B Appo) wider on the track. Capice which continued to hang in shifted in near the 800 meters coming into contact with Star Ted. Near the 800 meters Pedro's Countess (D Green) which was racing greenly made contact with Intersol (G Geran). Leaving the 500 meters Pretty Hot was eased from the heels of Capitol Award. Approaching the home turn Intersol was eased when tightened for room by Capice, which knuckled and shifted in momentarily. Intersol raced greenly once placed under pressure in the home straight. Media Tricks, which raced greenly throughout made the home turn wide. Time off 5.00 PM.

RACE: 3. At the start Tsar Dancer (J Warrington) was hampered between Whiskey Boy (T Pattillo) which jumped out and Smiley Baby (S Shield) which jumped in. Didier (D Green), Miss Impression (G Geran) and Swift Barbie (A Parramore) were slowly away. Leaving the 800 meters after being momentarily crowded by Zarabi (S Killen), Didier shifted in tightening the running of Agitator (K Yoshida). Agitator when being eased shifted out abruptly and then shifted back in abruptly, resulting in Why Not Me (G Lynch) which was following having to be eased. Smiley Baby shifted in behind winner Whiskey Boy over the concluding stages. Time 5.36 PM.

RACE: 4. Due to a printer's error race 4 was shown as a Class 6 instead of Open Handicap. Raise Your Bid (D Green) and Blakehurst (S Killen) which were slowly away were steadied shortly after when Hail Rocket (R Pittman) which shifted in. Approaching 800 meters Flying Feathers (B Appo) and Raise Your Bid were momentarily crowded by Mister Swift, which shifted in. Near the 250 meters Cangaze (G Geran) and Hail Rocket were hampered between Mister Swift and Grandvita (K Waller) which shifted out to obtain clear running. Leaving the 100 meters Grandvita was steadied when Mister Swift shifted in. On returning to scale Jockey K Waller rider of the 3rd horse Grandvita lodged an objection against Forever Missed (K Yoshida) being declared 2nd for alleged interference in the home straight. After taking evidence from riders, connections and viewing of the patrol film stewards dismissed the objection as they were of the opinion that Grandvita had not obtained a run to the outside of Forever Missed prior to that horse shifting out. Time off 6.15 PM.

RACE: 5. Sir Sidna (G Geran) and Audrey Ann (J Warrington) were slowly away. Approaching the 800 meters Matty's Girl (H Akiyama) shifted in coming into contact with Cornwall Bay (S Shield). Matty's Girl was forced to race wide throughout. Gorilla's Galore (A Parramore) hung out on the home turn. Jockey G Geran (Sir Sidna) accidentally dropped his whip at the 150 meters. Time off 6.57 PM.

RACE: 6. Due a printer's error the rider for Moringa's Monarch was not shown in the race book. Mister Edition (S Nolen), Lough Donnasea (A Parramore) and Long Time Gone (G Geran) were slowly away. At the start Bronze Dollar (B Appo) was hampered between Moringa's Monarch (S Shield) and Secret Obsession (H Akiyama) which jumped in. Approaching 800 meters Bull Power (A Raby) was eased when Moringa's Monarch rolled in. Approaching 800 meters Lough Donnasea was buffeted between Sam's A Nuisance (G Lynch) and Bronze Dollar which shifted in. Shortly after Sam's A Nuisance got its head up whilst being eased as the pace slowed. Mister Edition (S Nolen) which was following got its head whilst being eased. Approaching the home turn Sam's A Nuisance was eased from the heels of Bull Power.Time off 7.35 PM.

RACE: 7. Kadazzle (A Parramore) jumped out coming into contact with Seattle Arrival (L Morrison). Bonjour Halo (R Tilley) made the crossing awkwardly. Time off 8.07 PM.

All winners were swabbed.
